I think it will be a re-hash of the ideas that the DA has already put forward, but there is nothing wrong with re-iterating the stuff given the current context. It's all about getting the message out through the media, so people who don't pay much attention to politics (not us in this thread) may get the message...

I agree. I think things like this and the protests by DA and instances like the podcast on MacG, help the DA to break through the media filter and reach more people.

Western Cape Premier, MEC hold special planning meeting to protect critical services during load shedding crisis
The Western Cape's MECs went into a special planning meeting on Sunday led by Premier Alan Winde to ensure that critical services continue during the ramped up load shedding announced by Eskom earlier.
Anton Bredell, the Western Cape Minster of Local Government, Environmental Affairs and Development Planning said he supported Eskom CEO Andre de Ruyter's plea that municipalities cut down on non-essential systems, such as not letting street lights burn during the day.
The public is also asked to limit toilet flushes and the use of taps to lessen the load on municipal services and pumps that rely on electricity.
“Switch off all unnecessary appliances. If we all do the above, it will create space for Eskom to affect the repairs it needs to attend to,” Bredell said.
Disaster management centres are also on the alert.

He needs explain honestly to his hosts the reason for cutting short and tell them it was under his watch as deputy president and tasked to oversee the SOE's including Eskom that he looked the other way and allowed state capture to infest SA.
