The Suzuki Grand Vitara's production ended in August 2018 according to reports - so the 1,2,3,4,5,6 sales a month should soon become 0.

Technically, Peugeot died already, but is reborn. The consortium who bought the rights for Peugeot a few years ago has sold them back to Peugeot France because they were bleeding money. So now Peugeot SA is once again a subsidiary of Peugeot France...... Won't help volumes though...Dont think FCA, Subaru and Peugeot to survive in SA any longer. It just does not make any business sense for them to be here, if sales is less than 1000 vehicles a year

That model is the new 208, unfortunately it's only coming early 2020. Until this happens they will remain with sales below 100 because the current gen 208 is just too old for anyone to consider amongst the excellent rivals.Wow, I didnt know, I think it was a Japanese group that bought the distribution right in SA. So now it is the Peugeot France again. For Saffas to change our mindset, first thing, it must be cheap to buy. Second thing is it must be sort of trendy. Think Haval.
For example, if you want Peugeot or Alfa Romeo to be accepted in SA again, you need to lower your price to even make a loss, and then get the market share. Look at Hyundai and Kai, they used to be cheap to buy, but not anymore. Because they know they got the market share and the quality/reliability perception of South African now
Truth be told it is an excellent car and the quality is up there, the only problem is that it is a Peugeot, the new one will suffer the same fate unless Peugeot SA takes very drastic actions. My brother owns the station wagon SUV type, I think it's the 2008, parts are still exclusive and the other day he was charged R600 for light bulbs. That model is the new 208, unfortunately it's only coming early 2020. With good reason, can't really blame the public on that one. Peugeot, Fiat, Subaru, same Whatsapp group, they think they can just sit there and do nothing, sales will come.Agreed, I honestly dont think there are bad cars in the market, just bad aftersales in SA. Tell that to general public in SA, if you want a new Peugeot 208 or a new VW Polo. 99% will say new Polo. Sad but true.

Where does the leaking water come from? You'll be missing out on good cars if you let one isolated incident of seemingly bad aftersales service define your whoke outlook on Honda as a brand. Not surprised Honda didn't make the list. Bought a 2017 demo Ballade in January 2017. Worst vehicle I purchased to date. After sales service is pathetic. Dealer overfilled oil on the 15K service, had to take the vehicle back to drain the oil. On the 30K service my windscreen wiper arms were mysteriously swopped for scratched ones. On the 30K service they had to machine the front discs and replace the wiper blades. Guess what - had to wait almost two weeks for parts. Yes, you would expect them to have stock of brake pads and wiper blades.
Rattles from dashboard and rear seat, can hear the water leaking into the passenger side door panels.
Never a Honda again.

That is very disappointing, build quality is exactly what Honda is famous for, sorry for your troubles, that is the last thing I expect from Honda. I do recall someone also having issues with their Ballade on this forum. When washing the vehicle can hear the drips into the door compartment. The inferior build is more evident in areas one would not normally look at when purchasing a car, under the glove compartment and under the steering column. Electrical wiring is exposed.
