AFAIK nothing survives a hard reset.
You can build it into your ROM

guys, those of you that have tried the WM6.5 Roms, which one would you suggest? I'm considering flashing.
is it really worth the update?
also... (i'm new to this) my office has told me that I need a blackberry to get my email remotely on my phone. isn't there a WM app that can emulate this?
Just remember flashing to these ROMS is done at your own risk, and you do need to upgrade to newer Official ROMS first.
I went for the M2D and Titanium ROM. I'm overall really impressed with 6.5. The various UI improvements make navigation, etc. easier than before.
Thanks for the response. I used spb 2 some time back on my tytn and didn't like it, also ran touchflo winch was much better IMO but I still like spb 3 best. Just waiting for an official wm6 release...I did install spb mobile shell 3 on 6.5, briefly. I must say I didn't like it that much (although I dugg version 2) - although I didn't really play around with it for very long. The 6.5 UI takes a bit of getting used to, but if you tinker with it a bit and add things like weather, etc. then it makes it really easy to see updates and get to various functions (inbox, missed calls, wireless manager, etc.
It's possibly not as pretty as spb 3, but it definitely does well in terms of quick access. Also, the 6.5 rom that I have comes with HTC touchflo - which I used for a while and found pretty cool.
Let me know if you want screen caps, etc. of any parts of 6.5.

This is a screenshot of my Omnia with Khuanchai's ROM as in my post above.
Also running Titanium instead of Mobile Shell3. Rather heavy application although nice.
Not bad. Is titanium an addon/skin for wm6? (you can also upload/link images to your user profile>albums on mybroadband.)
So I was lying in bed last night wondering if there is a application that would be able to turn on the flash at the back of the phone, to be used as a torch. I know that you can press the volume key (down) to activate the flash, but it does not work in spb mobile shell or touch flow. So I opened up Opera on my phone and did n quick search, 2 minutes later I had a app...

This is going to be handy when I go to the cinema.![]()
The Omnia does not use any Cellular traffic for GPS...
It is a true GPS radio built in and not AGPS like NOKIA which relies on cellular traffic for the transmission of the signals.
It may take a few minutes at times to track the satellites but definitely worth it.
I think he was referring to traffic alerts on garmin online. I think you need to subscribe to the service and I don't think it is available in SA yet.
