Gauteng Police are offering a reward of up to R250 000-00 (two hundred and fifty thousand rand) for any information that could lead to the arrest and successful prosecution of the suspects involved in a warehouse robbery where cellphones and electronic equipment were taken.

Early Sunday morning, 5 October 2014, four to six suspects entered a business park complex in Sebenza, Kempton Park, through a security gate and robbed one of the warehouses in the premises. Cellphones, iPhones, iPads and other electronic equipment to the value of approximately R15 million were taken. Workers on the premises were locked up and no injuries were reported. The suspects fled in a White VW Crafter as well as a white Isuzu truck in which the stolen items were loaded. The registration numbers on both vehicles were checked and found to be false.

CCTV footage of two suspects as well as the vehicles used in the robbery are attached to the statement. A third party has also offered a substantial amount of money as a reward for any information that might lead to the arrest and or recovery of their stock.

People with information is requested to contact Crime Stop at 08600 10 111 or Crime Line at SMS 32211. All information received will be treated as confidential. A case of Business Robbery is under investigation.

In other news, I'm offering 250 000 reward for a one way visa out of here to the first world..... :/

Many people overlook this part of the reward offer..

"lead to the arrest and successful prosecution"

If the courts stuff it up, you get nada!

But, this is where you need to be clever....

If you do have information, approach the SAPS crime intelligence and inform them that you have information. Tell them you are not interested in the terms and the reward currently offered, and you will only be willing to give information to them if they pay you an informers' reward.

Crime intelligence pays substantial amounts to informers. Last year I know of a single payment of R500k to a person who gave information on 2 robbers that was arrested.

Happens a lot! There are many people coming and claiming they have info and will only give it if they get 'x' amount. They always leave with their information and no payment.

My point is, knowing police in this country do not always follow the law, do you think it will end well, if you have info they need, they know you have it, and you wont give it? I wouldn't put torture past them.

I think you are watching way too much movies!

Will that not attract a charge of defeating the ends of justice?

I'm aware you are not legally required to hand over the information.

I'm also aware I have no criminal law knowledge to speak of other than what I learnt from Hollywood.

Maybe you need to emigrate then? /facepalm

Damn man...this is getting out of hand and hitting home
Yeah, these robbers have no taste! There's a Computer Mania not too far from the iStore... idiots!

:D

I wonder if these robbers are the same ones touring the peninsula. They've hit them all now, some multiple times, yet no arrests? Soon THIS will be happening here...
