This is the first time I flashed my phone, and I was dumb not to along time ago.

Valkyrie 2.2 is sweet. Thanks kvi for pointing this one out.

The flashing was straight forward but getting the phone to boot up again was a mission. I think i did like 3 hard resets and alot of soft resets before it started working. Luckily my battery power was at 90 %

I always wanted Touch Flo 3d, but it doesn't seem that much more impressive then the new windows desktop. Or are there any cool features in touch flo that I just haven't seen?
 
My X1 is FALLING APART!!! It is forming cracks all over the casing. Anyone else having this problem?!

Googled the issue and found many sites reporting the same issue but none mention it happening in SA.

Phone is brand new, bought it May this year, never been dropped or bumped. Not even a scratch or mark on it - besides the disgusting cracks of course.
 
I also have cracks on my case and contacted sony ericsson about the issue after seeing some South africans being told it was their own fault...

According to that, there is a problem in the design and thus I should be able to get this repaired under warranty.

The phone is barely 2 months old.

I am very disappointed seeing as i paid a LOT of money for this phone.
I read that the black model does not have these issues...Any chance i can get mine swapped out for a black one!

If not, please let me know how to go about getting the case repaired under warranty.

Hi, I have heard from 2 people who have the cracked case, 1 using vodacom and the other using MTN, that when they took their phones in the service providers shrugged it off as the users fault, and said it will not be covered under warranty. I am in durban. Can you tell me where the closest sony ericcson service centre is to me, so i can bring it direct to you as opposed to taking it to vodacom where they may tell me its not covered under warranty. ok guys
my x1 is dead!!!!
dunno wat happened, everything was fine yesterday and i made a call last nite and went too bed with about 60% battery left.
woke this morning wondering why my alarm didnt go off, nothing, the phone didnt want to go on, doesnt charge either, not through usb or the normal charger????
any advice? ill have to get another battery to check that out first tho...
 
yep, took battery out, tried hard resetting, with/without stylus
i hoping it a battery problem and been reading on a few other forums - i need to leave my phone plugged into the wall charger for a few hours and it should kickstart the battery
if that dont work ill send it to service centre, but thats such a schlep
 
Hey Guys

Anyone else who's running Valkyrie 2.2 getting lots of intermittent freezing in TouchFlo mode? Or is it just me?
 
with 2.2 i also got about 2 freezes ever, but last night i upgraded to 2.3.2 and no issues at all now. well so far

rodga, what ROM you have on it? surely you dont want to send for service without the stock rom put back on?
