1. Install NetCF3.5 on your ppc.
2. Open a registry editor, I use Reso Regsitry Editor
3. Goto HKLM\Software\Microsoft\.NETCompactFramework (this is usually the first entry
4. When you open this you'll see all the .NET installed version change the DWORD value of 2.0.7045.00 from 1 to 0
5. Chang ethe DWORD value of 3.5.7283.00 from 0 to 1.
6. Reboot
7.Viola! you have a faster PPC
OK i asked the same when I first saw it
PPC is a pocket pc
The other type is a smart phone and the difference is that a ppc has a touchscreen while a smart phane has not....so the SE X1 is a PPC and the HTC S710 is a smartphone ....
I also got the latest programs from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=441439
I can confirm that these all work well on the X1
Hey guys need some help please.
When I click settings ,connections, advanced network, HSDPA is disabled and every time I try enable, it says it requires a restart which I do and still it does not stay on it.
Any ideas?
On the band settings, the network is on "auto"
But shouldn't the setting say "enabled" in Advanced connection ?
One other thing, how does one end a current connection quickly? I know in the old phones you would keep you finger on the end call button for a couple of seconds and that would end the current connection.
connection as in a call? or data connection? i presume you mean data, i dunno a shortcut.. i click on the antenna icon at top of screen then go to comm manager then turn it off... but thats a long way... cant wait to see if you find a shorter way.
i notice that if you are connected then an mms wont automatically download or send until you give it permission..... we got to fix that
then...
go check your windows/startup folder and see if you have a file there called
setHSDPA_disable seems to be running that on every startup hey?
what the hell is that? is that a mtn setting or who the hell put that there and you think we can delete it?
twas the evening of spending much time on my xperia
nice
thought i would try push the envelope a bit... ok here is what is in my task manager
adobe reader
garmin mobile xt
google maps
im+
sms/mms

windows media player
so thats all the launched programs currently hogging the memory. ive got music playing on the media player.... i just sent my GF an sms, i then went and opened a webpage with music playing... switched to garmin, it had located my position, switched to google maps, it had found me too.... in fact i could jump to any app and there appeared to be no delay... no hiccups... no crashes.... very nice
welcome to the x1 "Xperiance" kvi....it really is a beautiful thing. now show me an n96 that can do that and still give good bat life too!
