The Sony X1 Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

Thanks the R3A keyboard is good, still prefer resco though, but for the price I think it's quite acceptable. Also find it much better than fingerboard2

Ok guys seems that it was only in the v7 and has been fixed in the new v9

in the word's of smaberg
"that is called "timebomb", didnt realice that it was, i could remove it and reupload, but i wont, since the 9.0 is up and currently fastest.

have been busy with booth cooking and personel issues, so i havent got around to update the donation list as yet, but it will be corrected soon, and WM 6.5 will have to wait a little yet, since i find a full working and fast 6.1 is best for now, and tgrying to make it bugfree first. i will make the 9.0 swedish and 9.5 rhodium final WWE before making 6.5 (rhodium is faster then Topaz).:":D:D sigh relief relief

Guru_Pitka think I am going to hold on to version 7 till it freaks out then will upgrade maybe by then it will be version 12, I store most of my information on mem card and sync at least once every day so no stress when time bomb is up
 
so.. i tried touch-x... was very cool, but i kinda grown fond of the xperia standard rom... just when i got used to winmo, i changed to touch-x and it bugged me... i dont really have patience to learn everything again..

i use the xperia panel as it displays everything i need... weather, time, appointments, tasks, and rss feeds... also, has a shortcuts bluetooth, wifi...... also, shortcut to turning the sound on or off..

you guys all know this, but just giving my reasons. :)

Which version did you install i got the first one and found out that there is a bug with the graphics which he has now removed that version and put a new version 10 up which i now have to download again :(

and yes 10 is faster than 7

stupid question, is there any way to get better battery life as my battery last 1-2 days only :(

Usual stuff, turn off 3G, Bluetooth push the power button at the top to switch to standby. I usually get about 4 days out of my phone.

Here is a question for you guys, how do i set the camera to save images to the storage card? I have looked everywhere but it still saves to the device...

EDIT: Never mind I was being stupid!

how do you switch 3g off :(
 
i leave 3g on and batt lasts days.... it all depends how much you use your phone, and when i mean use i mean "are sitting fiddling in the menus and the apps...." the battery sucker is NOT the 3g as much as it is the light powering that massive screen.
thats why when a new person pops onto the forum with ooooh got myself a new x1 but batt seems crap.... i always say. wait a couple days till the novelty has worn off and you only use if for smsing and calls etc.

thats my theory

you see the thing is that i dont play with my phone that often :confused: maybe the battery life will get better :D
