Stock ROM

Hi guys, my phone will be going back for repairs. My problem is I had a custom ROM on the phone, I'm no back on the stock (Generic UK R3AA010 Software Update) ROM. Can they still say I had a custom ROM on the phone. Do I need to do a stock-SPL, and where will I get the stock-SPL.

your generic uk rom is fine but you HAVE to un-hardSPL the phone first.

I've tried this and I keep getting

PIN: Pending
IP Address: No Connection

When I go to "Utility" tab and click 'Register', I get an IP Address for a few seconds and reverts back to "No Connection".
 
...... and 2.8 is out . wow i had to wait so long my coffee is cold already :)

but beware guys it IS still experimental ROM (leo)
you wont have certain things like mms, which i never use anyway.
and still a couple bugs to iron out. if you looking for stability then use
V2.7 FS ( 21928 )

Change log for v2.8 FireStorm LEO
- build 23016
- leo EXT (manila 2.5)
- startmenu blurr! in case u dont want the blurr here is the fix
- drag items in startmenu
- wifi fix
- radio fix
- landscape workaround
- finger sweep tabbs
- few other things i cant remember!
KNOWN ISSUE: no landscape\footprint
 
oh by the way
i had that battery draining problem again
woke up at 830 yesterday cos my alarm didnt go off, seems the battery got drained somehow even tho it at 65% the nite before
i do think it has something to do with the rom, i hope so

i would always recommend having the latest, every version release has many bugfixes
 
still 2.6, havent got round to changing yet dur to cap issues
so not sure if i should get 2.7 or 2.8

wat u think, i do recieve mms once in a while but hardly send any
let us know how 2.8 is and if i shud download that instead

Would you be willing to lend out Rapidshare account again..

Waited t long last time and by the time i got around to downloading the details for the account musta have changed.

I have 5 gb of cap left n halrf of the stuff is on rapidshare!!

I installed 2.8 last nite. So far, it runs much smother than 2.6.lNo MMS support and landscape is still an issue. Its definitely evolving quickly in the right direction.

Do you have the Blackberry Service activated on your account?
