The Sony X1 Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

So I finally tried ijies leo v5.5 absolutely beautifull rom new touch flo icons are awesom ,home screen has the weather aswell ;) ,stable so far speed is simular to Valk

I will advise any bugs I encounter :)
 
i think there is virtually no difference between itjes and agents stuff. they both recieve the same WM builds and add one or two hacked exe's etc and release it. they each are using different icon buttons, but deep down in the kernel its all really the same stuff

Was your phone out of warranty? Surely it must still be under warranty. I Simply phoned SE and they sent me to the nearest repair agent. They replace the cracked cover (it did take almost 4 weeks, had to go to JHB from CT). No charge though.:D

lol, i wanted a black one too
but when the guy at the service centre showed me how bad it looked when it got a few scratches im glad i didnt get one
 
Calling all X1 medics, surgeons and miracle workers

Ok so last night the when i got out my car my X1 hit the ground in my pouch (leather jobbies) it beeps and i think nothing of it. When i take it out of my pouch i notice the screen is white.

So I do the following..

I try to reset via the power button..... no luck
Next i remove the battery, so obviously it works, so the phone boots up.
Now the interesting part, phone boots up completely when it comes the enter password numerical pad the touchscreen does not want to work.
So I use the qwerty to enter my code. Its works but still my screen it dead to touch.

So next i do a hard reset( maybe was not the best idea dunno?) and this where i am cause i cant get pass the "touch the screen to activate windows" bit to do the setup of windows.

I even tried installing the ROM again but still end up at the same screen.

So anyone got any ideas where the problem lies?
You guys think my touch screen has gone to heaven?

Anyone know if I can do a soft reset and upload to the stock ROM without using the touch screen and can it be done now that i cant get pass the set up screen?

u can load the stock rom and just tell them u were having problems with the screen, so did a hard reset, but now it doesnt want to work?
 
Ok so I flashed Valkerie firestorm 3.5.49 last night :D rom runs beautifull as usual but i found out i could change my icons to manilla 2.5 :D

so now ive got the best of both worlds running firestorm with the eyecandy of Leo and none of the bugs :D

so i had a couple spare contracts ready for upgrade (yeah sounds weird i know) and thought i wanted to give android a bash, so picked up a htc magic with android on it.

all i can say is i am pretty blown away. its faster, smooth, stable. incredibaly well thought out. it basically thinks like i want it too, and the best of all, it just syncs and talks with my whole google life, mail/gtalk/maps.

now im pretty torn. my long history with the magic x1 vs android

i feel like crying hehe dont know what to do.

you have to stay KVI cause rotastrain is releasing Blaze v1 "leo" ,his 1st rom on htcpedia with full landscape ,fast ,and stable he says the rom is 99% bug free ,he will be releasing his rom either today or tommorow ;)

i think im going to play the two phone game.... the best of both worlds :)

coz i have an mtn upgrade coming in time for x2
