Who else are they bombing?
There's bombing someone, and then there's "bombing" someone. I think the West's efforts to "destroy" ISIS has been largely limited to what's neccessary to sell the fact that they're fighting ISIS at home for PR purposes.

Just like Turkey uses the excuse of ISIS to go after the Kurds in Syria.

At the moment, the West doesn't like any of the people fighting in Syria, but the hydra they created in Syria was designed to oust Assad. Only it quickly mutated beyond their wildest expectations. Russia, unlike these other countries, is perfectly happy to work with Assad, and so they're motivated to weaken ISIS decisively before Assad falls. This is the critical difference as to why it's reasonable to expect the Russian assault to be far more assertive in terms of how destructive it is to ISIS' vital "organs" as it were.

If the US bombed indiscriminately like the Russians do you would be the first IMHO to lambast and loudmouth the evil USA for hurting the innocent civilians. Thats the sad part!

Oh no... Really hope this doesn't devolve into a proxy war. :(

Of course it would. Just wait for the next Jihad to be called. This could become more serious than anyone may imagined or guessed. Russian backed the wrong horse on this one.

Oh really? Go find a single post where I said anything bad about the US for bombing the hospital. *One* post.

White House Is Weighing a Syria Retreat

A week into Russia's military intervention in Syria, some top White House advisers and National Security Council staffers are trying to persuade President Barack Obama to scale back U.S. engagement there, to focus on lessening the violence and, for now, to give up on toppling the Syrian regime.

In addition, administration officials and Middle East experts on both sides of the debate tell us, Obama's foreign-policy team no longer doubts that Russian President Vladimir Putin intends to prop up President Bashar al-Assad and primarily target opposition groups other than the Islamic State, including those trained by the Central Intelligence Agency...
