The Syrian Conflict Thread

Killa, the only reason Al Nusra and other extremist groups got a foothold in all of this is because Assad made opposition impossible. He started butchering people who were peacefully protesting his despotism. Civil war is chaos, and the extremist groups took the opportunity.

And Russia doesn't give a flying figleaf who's in power, so long as their interests are served. If the government does get overthrown they'll start selling weapons to whoever's in power next.

No he butchered violent people, you know like egypt. Exactly what happened in syria but the agenda is to remove him so he was accused of killing violent protestors much like egypt. He said from the start al queda was causing trouble. The likes of al nusra were sent in when the resolution to basically pull a libya was opposed by china and russia. Regime change wasn't as easy as libya was so now they need these extremists to fight him.

I'm sorry but egypt has brutally put down the protestors and has largely been supported, exact same as assad but so different due to politics.

Egypt butchered peaceful protestors, shot unarmed people yet assad doing it and saying there were terrorists was ignored while in egypt it is believed. Naaaa i don't buy the BS anymore, after witnessing egypt brutally slaughter people calling them terrorists without much reaction makes it ever clearer some people can do it and other people can't. Assad has maintained from the start there were violent protestors just like egypt.

Read the end of the article, the expert who says he does not believe the rebels have the weaponry to deliver the chemicals.

Go look at all the websites who broadcast the first video's, footage not verified they say. It would not be the first time fake footage has been used http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l46dbY3dGic
http://storyful.com/stories/26986 i called this fake even before it was deemed fake, ghoti tuned me i was supporter of assad. Just by looking at it i could it was fake, really didn't take specialists to notice it was fake but mybb went crazy calling me a supporter of terror until it was confirmed fake, thread went silent.

http://globalnews.ca/news/794372/ex...the-alleged-chemical-weapons-attack-in-syria/

Read up a bit before you just believe what you see on the internet, there is a history of fake videos coming out syria since the beginning. Whether these video's are fake time will tell and just like all the other fake video's experts will comb through them looking for signs of fake footage and obvious signs that the footage is fake, already experts claims the foam coming out of people's mouths is not consistent with chemical weapons or the colour of it anyhow.

http://www.euronews.com/2013/08/21/expert-casts-doubt-on-chemical-weapons-footage-from-syria/

So here we go again, another round of fake footage that will be analyzed by experts and maybe people will wake up. Seriously you won't ever wake up, you are asleep for good, one side view for life bro, hells yea believe what you hear, believe what you see seriously. Keep believing and never lose faith regardless of the lies. Perhaps i need to be woken up and this incident will confirm whether my belief that assad needs to win this war is justified or not.

http://video.msnbc.msn.com/rachel-maddow/52814768#52814768

Make no mistake i don't have faith that assad did not do this, it is possible he did do it, it would not be intelligent to do it while 20 inspectors are in the country, we will see if assad allows them to go to the site.

Russia urges assad to allow UN inspectors to go to the site: 2 hours ago
http://news.sky.com/story/1131742/russia-urges-syria-to-allow-un-chemical-probe

30 claims thus far the government has used chemical weapons on a small scale. Makes no sense to me to use it on a small scale. http://www.policymic.com/articles/30014/25-years-ago-the-u-s-let-saddam-murder-5-000-kurds

Interesting that the US knew who gassed the kurds but blamed iran. Trustworthy people for sure.

UN Head warns of consequences over Chemical Weapons

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon warned Friday of serious consequences if it is proved that chemical weapons have been used in Syria.

Ban reacted with concern to reports that chemical weapons had possibly been used against the civilian population, Ban said during a visit to his homeland of South Korea.

"Any use of chemical weapons anywhere, by anybody, under any circumstances, would violate international law, Ban said. "Such a crime against humanity should result in serious consequences for the perpetrator."

He said he had instructed his disarmament representative Angela Kane to travel to Damascus immediately to investigate the reports.

The secretary general said the UN Security Council had backed his call for a "thorough, impartial and prompt investigation."

The main Syrian opposition coalition said that President Bashar al-Assad's regime Wednesday had killed at least 1,300 people in toxic gas attacks on rebel strongholds outside Damascus. The Syrian government has denied responsibility.

Ban made his comments on Syria in speech to diplomats on the millenium development goals.

What are they going to do if the rebels did it? Support assad finally?

I don't care about this kuk, japan is about to send us into a global nightmare. These manning, snowden chemical attacks to me are nothing more than keeping us from freaking out like the japs are at the moment and many leaders world wide.

If you are unbiased and you can believe or consider more than one side read the latest Rt article

http://rt.com/news/syria-chemical-prepared-advance-901/

I know people like seriously will ignore it, it goes against cnn and his belief system.

Tell me what you guys think and debunk those videos being released before the attack. Typical FSA mistake, i have seen most of their faked videos and they are truly shocking when you look at them(content) but there is always something that proves it false. They make stupid errors like the video where they said the syrian army buried that guy, didn't look like syrian soldiers to me. Yet to see this reported on western sites which is expected, even if this is proven to be true i can see it being ignored and the US will intervene possibly within the next week.

Syrian videos posted a day early(google it) rt.com the only major network reporting it. No cnn, bbc, aljazeera, sky. Same thing with unit 4 in japan, rt seem to be the only one reporting on it.

Only the RT story and http://www.infowars.com/video-footage-of-chemical-weapons-attack-uploaded-before-it-happened/
Infowars btw is actually pretty good, a little bit conspiracy yes but they have debunked so many FSA videos.

O boy 159 videos uploaded before the incident but how? Typical FSA army messing up faked videos is one thing, releasing them before the incident if true goes beyond stupidity. it is interesting the government nor russia said al queda they said FSA set this up.

What do you guys think? BS(russia lying) or the FSA making the most idiotic mistake in the history of false flags. Already the foam being so white was mentioned as being too white by experts. I am going to go look at the 159 videos mentioned to see but i would back the russians if they say something like this. They are pushing assad to allow UN inspectors in because they know the cogs of the US intervention are turning(no idea if i have said that correctly).

Seriously don't bother with any of this, your belief system cannot handle this possible false flag being the biggest cock up ever. I can't think of any false flag that could rival this if it turns out to be true.

Sir, whilst I bow to thy superior paranoia, for we must keep the nation calm, as others have noted...are you...out of...your tiny..*****ing mind..? Oh yes, why ask...

killa - are you having a little meltdown of sorts ?

Seems ongoing....Maybe he'll turn on a girl...hope it's not a dog.

killa - are you having a little meltdown of sorts ?

Nope, i am beginning to think this news coverage is covering up something big in japan.

So 159 videos posted before the attack happened, i get called out of mind when the evidence is there for you to look at and debunk.

Instead you tune i must shag a dog or whatever haha and i am out of my mind. Ok then lightscribe.

Tepco admitted they have lost control, anyways over that now :D.

I am very conflicted though. 159 videos uploaded and viewed by millions and aired on most networks were uploaded before the event possibly. Assad refusing entry knowing it will make him look guilty.

My comment was more directed at your japan remark - a tad alarmist :D

Killa you are as confused as a chameleon on a smartie box. Get a fleshlight and relax, better still get a fscking life.

http://rt.com/news/us-missile-attack-syria-929/

There we go boys, what you have wanted for a long time could get the green light today. Those cruise missiles are insane.

Killa
Its amazing how we read and see things differently.
You read and understand one thing as above ^ ^ ^

& I keep seeing the following in the article you presented:

Despite President Obama cautioning against intervention in Syria,
.
.
the Navy did not have orders to prepare for military operations against Syria.
.
.
Obama said the United States should be wary of “being drawn into very expensive, difficult, costly interventions that actually breed more resentment in the region.”
.
.
Obama went on to express reservations for becoming involved in the 30-month Syrian conflict due to a lack of international consensus
The White House later released a statement confirming Obama’s words, and emphasizing that the US has no plans to put “boots on the ground.”

All four ships are capable of launching long-range, subsonic cruise missiles to reach land targets.

We read it different because i read more than one article. I know those cruise missile can literally destroy assad's equipment in a short space of time. Game over for assad.

Three other destroyers are currently deployed in the region -- the USS Gravely, USS Barry and USS Ramage. All four warships are equipped with several dozen Tomahawk cruise missiles.

The reinforcement allows the Pentagon to act more rapidly if Obama orders a military strike.

They don't need troops on the ground. The cruise missiles will destroy most of assad's weaponry in a short space of time, thus allowing al nusra to remove assad relatively quickly, they know how to fight in the streets, don't think assad's soldiers are very good at it, even the US soldiers struggle. Specialists on ground al queda and they would absolutely destroy the syrian army if it was man vs man on the ground with no artillery, no planes and no tanks to fight. They are meeting today, if the green light is given they have their targets and they will take out assad's equipment in a matter of hours.

Another one for you to read
http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/08/24/us-syria-crisis-idUSBRE97K0EL20130824

Repositioning naval forces means getting ready to launch an attack, it does not mean they will but if the order is given they will be in place to strike with precision.

Again, we see it differently.
The more reports you post, the more it appears obama is very reluctant to get involved in the middle east, be it syria or egypt.

I see the US navy getting in place awaiting a green light. Whether it comes i don't know but that is what i see, military gearing up for a strike should the order come and there must be the possibility or they would not be repositioning their ships.

Time will tell, most of the world has bought into the chemical attack, whether it is was assad or a setup is irrelevant now. Assad defied putin no 1 and he never allowed the UN inspectors into the site. Based on that i would say military action should happen. Ok i won't put my cock on the block here but 80% chance. Russia is not impressed with assad and the time is right to take advantage of assad ignoring russia. It's the first time there has been a divide between the two and assad looks guilty of that chemical attack based on denying access and disregarding putins demand to allow access.

We will know soon though.

The crisis should convince Russian President Vladimir Putin that it’s time to abandon his support for Assad and begin to work for a political transition in Syria. Assad is apparently so desperate that he has ignored warning about the chemical weapons not just from Washington, but also from Moscow. Will Putin really allow the Syrian dictator to use weapons of mass destruction in defiance of Russia?

Putin is many things but he will not(yikes bad error there haha) tolerate chemical weapons and he said that from the start. So if there was ever a time to hit assad it is right now. Nations are calling for it, assad denied access, defied russia. Attack him is what i would if i was obama.

Doctors Without Borders: Three hospitals in Damascus treated 3,600 Syrians with "neurotoxic symptoms" on Wednesday, 355 of those died
Shame no one in the Arab (or muslim) world cares, pretty sure those 3245 Syrians were wishing they were Palestinians right now
