I only have 2 really worth mentioning, the first tattoo I got we do not speak of as it is a bitter reminder that good tattoos aint cheap and cheap tattoos and good.

Both of these were done by Darryl Cheetham in Blouberg.

Uncle Milty
I have always loved the Les Paul guitar, I have always had a deep love for Metallica and James Hetfield. Being a VWhorebag the Iron Cross is also close to home as it is common on old beatles and hotrods and even chopper bikes. So this tattoo incorporates all of those aspects. James calls this guitar Uncle Milty and is actually one of his most famous guitars. Below is a picture after both sessions (month apart). It is older than a year now and it has healed beautifully.

I got this one on 10 June 2017 on my right calf, again means more to me than the face value. My birthday is on 24 April, same day as the Trojan Horse attack, also as a software developer there is that malicious Trojan Horse aspect. I used to play chess at Provincial level and my knights were always my deadliest weapon and black my favourite colour. So this brings all of that together in one big piece. ps My left calf will remain untouched, this calf piece was the most painful tattoo I got, even though it was not as dark as my arm and took half the time, I was battling as the needle got closer to the back of my knee.

Yeah my calf was also pretty brutal, plus I had to sit and contort myself pretty awkwardly as I got it done at the Cape Town Tattoo Convention earlier this year so space was a bit tight for a proper tattoo bed/chair

oooh... And I was thinking about having a piece done on my calf perhaps.

Time to rethink.

Can just hear my brother calling me a pissy. Haha

Doing my consultation in September at Fallen heroes. Really excited to finally get my first one done and dusted!
Been putting this off for over 10 years, always with some kind of excuse, but recent events have made me just say F%^k it and stop procrastinating with all the things ive wanted to do

Very, very cool.

Going to get my first tattoo, any recommendations in CPT? Going to get a quote from Metal Machine and Wildfire, any other places I can also try?

Newbies interested in getting their first tattoo need to do some research and try figure out what category their tattoo idea falls into, and then try source an artist that does those tattoos well. I wouldn't recommend going to a traditional tattooer for a photo realistic B&G portrait of your mom, or a new school guy/girl for a large scale sailor Americana back piece.

Everyone that has one or 2 sentimental tattoos is going to recommend their artist or the person that did the infinity sign on their wrist, but when it comes to getting something specific done it's always better to do your research and then ask for recommendations based on what you want done.
