From the front, it doesn't look bad. It's not a Ranger, but it is fine.

But I say again, the side view is bleh. Found one parked at Spar this past weekend and I viewed it from the side and my photo opinion was confirmed.

I reckon they signed a 100 year deal with the guys who make it, so they have to use them....

Now this is the surprising...between the flagship Ranger & flagship Hilux Car Mag shootout the Hilux wins...it *just* takes it.

The big selling point of the Hilux was its keener pricing.

Very close battle either way you look at it.

I lost all hope of car magazine ever being impartial years ago.

Saw a Hilux in the metal today, makes the Ford look a bit over the top. Look, the Ranger is good, and it's had it's share of fun in the sun and top of the pack. Now that time is over and the Hilux is king again.

Yup...I know it's the "in" thing to be #TeamRanger but I dig the latest Hilux. One cannot wipe away/ignore many many years of pedigree & heritage. #TeamHilux

Don't forgot also model for model the latest Hilux is more keenly priced than the equivalent Ranger.

Ranger stole the crown a few years ago, but now the king returns. I'm still all for the one that delivers and the underdog though, and the new Steeds looks very good too.

Not sure of the source for the above, but Hilux was outsold by Ranger in February.... We will see what happens in March...
