The true reason behind high crime stats.

I have noticed a lot of SAP? personnel doing shopping whilst still on duty.(Wearing uniform, driving police vehicles)

Surely if these people were out on the beat performing their duties instead of shopping the crime stats would look much better?

Where can I go and complain about this?

The whole country is going to ruins with theft, housebreaking, robbery and general lawlessnes on the increase but these guys would rather go and buy lotto tickets or do xmas shopping instead.

I am sooo glad I did not join the police when I left school. My dad wanted me to as he used to be a cop. I would be ashamed of being part of such an organisation.

They are undercover trying to catch mall robbers. :p

What? they stopping the mall robberies arent they? They have seemed to have declined the past few days.

you have a really skewed and archaic view! Are they not allowed to EXIST during their breaks ? Police people are HUMAN too!

when you are in uniform, you are "police" not "human".
Personal behaviour is prohibited!

it is true for many other countries, may be not in SA, that is the reason why the crime rate is so high!
 
So on their lunch break they must drive back to the police station, redress, get in their private car which they can't afford with their pitance slalaries, spend 1 minute gulping down food and then go put their uniform on again...?

short period of lunch break is allowed, where and when you have your lunch is assigned before you leave the police station. As fast as you finished your lunch, then you are back on patrolling. IT IS NO SUCH THING CALL "LUNCH HOUR"!
 
The police preventing mall robberies are lying in the caravan next to the mall... :p

Wonder if they'll realise when the mall gets robbed...unless they are robbed 1st... :wtf:

It has nothing to do with a piss poor judicial system or massive poverty, it has to do with some cops shopping?

Well this is a new take on crime i must admit.
 
I'm with OP... I've seen cops drive around with what looks to be the family (a women, and 2-3 children in the back), hell, I saw them buying Mac Donalds for crying in a bucket :p.

I was told that they putting tracking devices into the police vehicles, so that way you have a log of who's driving the car and where the car is going...
 
Obviously Police are not allowed to drive around with an official vehicle for private purposes. Will it stop them? Hell no.

Hey, when we oldies were in the army, we also used to use army vehicles to make bottle store and food runs. So now that the black ou's are in control, it's their turn to rip the ass out of the beast.
 
I agree they can take a break, but all at the same time?

We have a group of 4 police in our mall, all four were in my shop applying for cell contracts at the same time, whilst they were on duty and meant to be patrolling for criminals.

At least our shop was safe for that period though I guess??
 
its christmas ffs! maybe they just got off work..... maybe the boss asked them to deposit a bank cheque on their way, maybe they stopped for a cold drink during lunch or on their way to a crime scene, maybe they are mall cops?:D

Not in uniform. We also had the crime thing under control.

I used to hike from Bloem to Vereeniging in uniform once a month (back in the bad apartheid days). Nowadays that would simply be crazy.
 
This kind of bejaviour is not limited to xmas time. I regularly see police with their kids in the vehicle?

When a bakkie (SAP)full of cops stop at the shop to buy lotto tickets they're all on a break? BS!

They;re a bunch of lazy-ass cops that's what it looks like to me.:D

Out of curiosity - How do you know they are their kids and not some kids they're helping out or street kids they're clearing out of the busy intersections?
