The weight loss thread

The exercise part is easy. But **** all the tasty things are fattening

One day when I come face to face with The Great FSM I'm going to ask him wtf he made healthy stuff taste schit

#justsaying :D

Not for me. Neither are any of the other meat stuff. Cheddar cheese is ok but I wouldn't rave about the taste

And don't think I didn't notice you try to sneak cauliflower and broccoli in there!
Cauliflower/brocolli in cream cheese sauce (home made) is amazing (and I do need to get at least SOME veg a day to keep my doctor pacified. He still buys into the 5 a day bullshit)
And lack of meat is your problem, not lack of tasty healthy options! Bad lifestyle choices ;)

Till I embarked on weight loss journey, I swear I never realized how difficult it would be to lose weight. Even losing just 1kg per month takes lot of discipline in terms of diet & exercise.
My big issue with a diet is the fact that the food at the canteen smells and tastes so good. That and the fact that the diet the dietitian gave me is just not sustainable, I can chow only so much eggs, chicken and broccoli

WOW - this is hectic way of doing it. I have really continued to eat whatever I do but less quantity, especially carbs. I have switched to no sugar drinks - that was significant change I think.
Thing is I feel absolutely fine. Yes I'm hungry now, busy making lunch, but no "symptoms" like headache or cravings. And bear in mind I did a 400+ cal workout this morning. The only place that energy can have come from is stored fat
And I'll be fine till tonight as well, but with the deficit I'm in, if I do get peckish in the late afternoon a low carb snack is absolutely no problem.

Cutting out the refined carbs (sugary drinks etc) is a damn good step.

Got into my L-size T-shirt that I abandoned 7-8 years ago and it fits perfectly. Yippie - what a feeling. Weight is still hovering at 93kg but due to static cycling & calisthenics, it seems to have trimmed the body. I swear I am not into yoga at all (despite having done it at age 7-9) but some of the yoga resembling static holds definitely assist.

Thankfully, I didn't buy too many XXL's or XL's during my blooming period. :p

Don't focus too much on the weight. Unless you're like @koeks525 and think a kilo of steel weighs more than a kilo of feathers :p

bro, weight loss is the only thing I can brag a bit. If I post my fitness improvement stats, people will never stop giggling.

Weight loss, fitness improvement stats etc have a place. But it's not always about the numbers

It's about stuff like how you look and feel when you look in the mirror. Or buy a smaller size shirt. Or drop that belt a notch. Or how much more comfortable it feels when you bend over to tie your laces

lol this is nuts.

According to garmin yesterday:

And I felt fine!

If you stick to close to 1600 consumed i have no doubt you will succeed but 2 things to keep in mind that have pushed me back a few steps a couple times. Exercise calories you almost have to divide in half when i zoom out and look at the months and weight loss to get the equation to balance. 2nd with calories consumed the average joe underestimates what they track. We get the big things right like potatoes and chicken breast but the calorie killers like mayonnaise / cheese etc always gets under reported.

I'm tracking everything :)
But only for interest sake.
I think the margins are big enough that a few extras here and there will be harmless. I don't plan to start eating more, put it that way

About 10 days into trying to lose some weight. Lost 3KG's thus far. Adjusted my eating habbits and pretty much only drinking water during the week. Also started riding the indoor bike a couple of days ago.
