Season 3 will be out, and we will all be waiting, impatiently for it. :(
 
That was really cool! Enjoyed that.

Might just fire up The Witcher 3 tonight. It's been a while. Probably like a 20gb update... :rolleyes:

Yes the other witchers seem a bit incompetent campared to Geralt. I get that he is supposed to be one of the best but they made the others muppets instead of toning them down a little.

This season was better than the last yet the story is not as gripping as I thought it would be. I have not played the games or read the books. There are a few good action scenes.

The others seemed to be more “laddish”, while Geralt and Vesemir were more traditional Witchers.
 
Quite a slow burn of a season. Hopefully just setting us up for an exciting Season 3, which will hopefully not have the same sort of production delays as 2 did.

Been stuck on episode 7 for three days with no desire to keep watching.
Would've been okay if they haven't butchered the source material so much.

Just like the fight scene of episode one of the first season was the highlight of that entire season,
seems the fight scene in episode one of season two has also been the highlight. Every action sequence since have been 'meh' and got worse with every new episode.

Without Henry Cavill it would've faded into obscurity with no fanfare.

Well on episode 6 at the moment - figure it is okay, but not great - but yeah, so it goes

That is the reason I never read books. I don't want it to spoil the movie/series. :cool::)

Season 2 was great, but too short.

Can't really spoil it, because at this point it may as well not be called The Witcher.

I am not happy with a certain adaptation, and I am in the view that source would have better served the progression, but will have to wait to see what happens in season 3.

This is nonsense and you know it. The Nivelen story was pretty close to the books. Of course there will be changes, it’s being adapted for TV and some things just wouldn’t work on screen the way they do in the book.

It’s pretty faithful to the Witcher universe in general, though there are creative liberties taken.

Stop being a hater and enjoy the effort that went into bringing our beloved stories to the screen.
 
The Witcher books aren't that great and for most of the series you don't even follow Geralt but some political intrigue in a place you don't really see again.

So far enjoying the show more than the books.

I think the season is particularly good. My only qualm is the showrunners including Baba Yaga or rather a witch based on said mythical witch. The Witcher, or the witch, has a cabin in the woods now, than the cabin at the lake. In my view, it was unnecessary to add this character to the main arch. They could have rather introduced the Crones, which are non-canon, in any case, but closer to the lore as introduced by the games which is more in-touch with the world. All in all 'Baba Yaga" is a Crones substitute going by creative liberties because they couldn't use the CDPR witches, but they needed something to advance their own narrative.

It is not that I have an issue with the above creative liberty, it is only that the books already does a very rich, intimate story between Yen and Ciri meeting, and that what pursues, their relationship is extraordinary. Personally, I think the showrunners removed something special which is source in exchange to promote a season villain, which I don't think was required in how it was conceptualised. I have to see how all this pulls back together in season 3, or whether they will push it more apart.

Everything else was superb, 9/10.

Nah, it’s completely recognizable. Changes don’t make it unrecognizable. It’s true to the lore and the universe, even if some of the changes veer outside of canon.

I wish I could and tried, but by the last episode I was close to the point of hating it
 
The first two seasons were largely a drag but in a good way, character and story building was well paced. Nice set up for season 3 as well, we got a glimpse of Eriden and The Wild Hunt. I hope we see more of that story line in season 3.
 
Decided to watch S1 and S2. S1 was a lot more understandable in terms of the time line. S2 was better.

Did remind me a bit of the Hercules/Zena tv series of the old days but over-all was enjoyable viewing
