Exchange rate isn't just related to investments but also to our trading deficit. It's been rather poor lately. I've come to the conclusion that Zuma is only worth R1.50 as that's the effect all his utterings have had. :crylaugh:
Unfortunately that R1.50 is for one dollar, if you're dealing with millions it's a lot more :-(
I'm need to exchange dollars, how long should I hold on to it? or change it now while it's at R13?

Any guesses what the exchange rate will be by end of day Friday? I'm thinking 13.90 after Pravin and co. get fired. If a ratings agency comes out and drops our rating to below investment, I'm gonna say around 15.50. If not, it will likely settle around 14.50 for a while. There will likely be spikes though initially. Could hit around 15-16 like last time, but I think it will settle lower eventually.
I'd be inclined to exchange it now.
All signs are pointing to the ZAR devaluing quite a bit in the coming days...

Thanks, I'll exchange it at the end of day, this is so that I can have Rands, I'm inclined to wait but I do need it in Rands ASAP.
