Wrong, sorry. Nothing hectic has happened locally. The sudden drop in R/$ is all to do with the American stocks mini-crash yesterday. "If America sneezes, the rest of the world catches a cold"

This is going to fck me over. AirBNB owe me about $600 which they should have paid over the weekend. The rand value of that is going down a lot today :/
