i like it when the rand is over 10 to the dollar asour daughter sends money over and we score big time.
In this economic climate not even the best economists in the world can predict what is going to happen next.
Gotta love your signature.... I like the part where you left out the price of the soccer ticket. They just here for some "fun"
Do it now quick... cos the reason why it came down is the promise of an interest rate cut.
The rand won't strengthen much i don't think, it is better for us to have the rand at 9 than 6 or 7. We need to export more than we import and a strong rand means we import more than we export which is bad.
So the Rand has gained some nice ground the last few days or maybe the Dollar slipped a bit.
Do you think it will continue on this trend or will it go back past the R10/$ level soon?
Reason I am asking. I am importing something from the US and if the Rand strengthens another 25-50cents it will save me a considerable amount of money. But if it weakens again it will also cost me bit more.
So I guess it's one of those situations where I am either gonna kick myself or pat myself on the back for making that 50/50 call.
Well the USA are printing money so the dollar should lose and the rand pickup
Except a poor exchange rate drives up the cost of everything, including food.i like it when the rand is over 10 to the dollar asour daughter sends money over and we score big time.
Don't be stoophid. The Zuma news hit the market months ago. No one's surprised by it and certainly no one with enough money to shift the currency value.

because the $ 1 trillion made available for retarded developing countries requires gold reserves to be sold. And Zuma will probably do a Zim 2.0 and give away gold for free. Got gold? Sell it.
