I am really getting tired of this, I cannot play games on saix, I cannot surf without having to refresh 100 times on any international site ... is IS that bad or are Telkom that bad ... I am considering getting a telkom account just so I can surf without this frustration !!!

Lol dont bother, I tried on an saix and IS account and both are screwed up! No matter how much I refresh the sites dont load, even local sites. Not sure if its a regional problem, i'm in jhb. Also getting between 75 & 100% packet loss. Stuck on gprs now
 
Same problems here - ISDSL and SAIX completely unusable. It took me this morning to get as far as to read these posts and reply.

IS claim there is no problem...

Oh well.
 
Yup, international is literally crawling down here in the Western Cape.
 
It wasn't an IS problem, after all both SAIX and IS accounts were screwed. Apparently there was a problem with a whole lot of telkom exchanges caused by a power failure at telkom. Anyway it's speculation because one can never believe anything telkom says.
 
saw 2 telkom bakkies today working on exchanges near my house and one of the exchanges are still open with those red do not cross tape around it but my saix connection seems to be fine but my IS one i cant even receive any email on it
 
Well, i don't what to believe. All i know is that my IS acc is broke. :mad:
 
Some of Cape Town is working others not .... :) .... anyone out there with a idea when it should be resolved...
 
Mine seems to be up now again, been 24 hours since the problem started for me.

Well, mines worse now than ever. IS acc is so slow i can't even surf local.
Im currently lgged in with a SAIX acc and everything is peachy. This sucks! I feel like asking for a refund in my IS acc.
 
Yea my IS account does not even browse local content either (no i am not capped) ... my SAIX account is as per above ....peachy :(
 
Anyone else still getting high latency? Used to get 20-30ms pinging games.saix.net but now I get 70-80ms with telkom and IS accounts.
 
Here in PE its crawling as well. I dont think i can keep screaming at my PC any more. Telkoms ****ty product is starting to have an adverse effect on my health.
 
same prob here in durbs for me, int is unusable and local is dead slow.getting below 2k to IS news sever.

had this prob early last week, telkom fixed.... seems it got broken again.

Ping to games.saix.net is sitting @ 500 - 700ms

is it telkom or IS having a problem cos on my telkom(saix) account im getting normal fast speeds but my IS account is dog slow
 
this problem HAS NOT been solved....until last night i was fine....now suddenly this morning my whole connection has fallen over....

latency to games.saix.net 600ms +, latency to news.is.co.za 600ms +, latency to users.isdsl.net 25ms

what gives? when is this going to be sorted out???? getting very tired of all this....

P.S. i am connected to New Germany 2 and sitting in Durban with my thumb up my bum now.................. O_o
