A while ago I posted in a
thread regarding Sharan door locks.
I fixed the rear door lock yesterday, and it's a better solution than the one done by VW, it will last far longer than the original design.
Plus a major modification was not needed. Just needed to drill a 2mm hole right though the inner cylinder, insert a 2mm steel pin, and voila...
Where the arrowhead is pointing, I drilled a 2mm hole right through and inserted a steel pin, which fit into the grooves of the round mechanism on the right. No more wibbles or wobbles, everything working as it should.
Next weekend I'll take a shufty at the front door lock.
