This Country's Future: Your Views

sad news that SA is not retaining her skilled workers :(

on the other hand then it could be easier for me to get a job with my degree :)

and thus making a positive contribution towards South Africa

I thought you had a job.
And was expecting your first pay cheque.

Were you fired?

We should revoke both emi- and imi- passports.
 If they do that then the remaining rest of the skilled people will leave overnight with or without a passport.

Seriously, though, if you're so pessimistic about SA's future, why are you still here, bitching about it?

I'm leaving, don't worry about it

Don I have the right to voice my opinion about the goings of this country?
I'm being realistic about SA's future not pessamistic, were you ever around before 1994? Have you ever been affected by crime? Do you even watch the news?

I'm with you on this one. I've seem a lot of ppl complaining about the previous govt, but if you have to compare and someone asks you which one you'll take to live in, i think only a fool will take THIS one, OR...someone that has no "experience" about the previous govt.

Is that why you're still here, boramk? :D

Because you can't just leave. You need to get the right qualifications and experience before you can go. Unless you get lucky and find a nice British or Australian employer who is willing to write a sponsorship letter for you.

Not many of us can get such an opportunity so we need to qualify for the points systems first.:)

I beg to differ, if your referring to the pre 94' goverment, I'll gladly be that fool who'll take the current over all those before 94'.

That is a funny, well informed statement.
No wonder you live abroad.
Please do not come back.

apartheid was DEFINATLEY a mistake
BANTU education was even worse as it might be a reason to blame the lack of common sense in the people here

BUT at least we never had to worry about crime, poor blacks could easily get jobs, there was no such thing as affirmitive action or BEE, our hospitals were top notch, our state schools were just as good as the private schools.

The government back than built up the SA of today
The ANC are tearing it apart

Thank you very much for your input, why did you leave SA again?

As expected, your perception that I live here because of the common place reasons, I'll leave you to continue to beat that old drum tune. :p

I'm coming back in May and every year there after, so see you soon. ;)

Good,
At least then you can experience first hand the deterioration in the country.
Please remember not to drink the water.
We are the only nation on earth that actually defecate in our own drinking water.

I'll take SA- CT water anyday of the week over my local council tap water, we have to filter every drop, limescale is a killer on the skin.

The only thing "Apartheid" stood for was "you stay at your side of the

fence, me on mine" short and sweet. Personally i would say the only thing

that was wrong was to NOT give other cultures/races the oppertunity to to

have education. But was it a "threat" for the other cultures to live here, ie

were they "forced" to live here or did they come out of their own will? Were

they beeing killed like nowadays? Also i find it very weird that so many

blacks that i come in contact with share my same thoughts
