I had the same issue with them. I had absolutely PATHETIC service. And only when I started using the F-word in emails I got my account cancelled and even a months refund.

Even when googling now I see some more articles of childish replies from Openweb CEO’s to customers.
Do they run this company out of a garage?

as established earlier its run from a home (although the listed address is an open field)

any other ISP will do..

still can't believe there's any customers left there...

Openweb standard response after telling them my Afrihost account is running at full speed....."we have check your account on our side and its running at full speed, please contact Telkom"... WTF..!

They made me give them a months notice even though, they are unable to prove it in the T&C's when I signed up...
 
now makes sense why the CEO is replying to technical issues, it's just him and his PA in the company
 
Yes, they are totally useless. I cancelled a week ago and also have the same standard response of one calendar month notice.

Can't wait for them to shut down their doors and finally free the rest of the customers.

At one point, they were actually helpful. But with constant line issues, no amount of assistance can replace that.

Had I got the response that you got, I would replied with helpful tips and detailed instructions of how Athol could fit OW up his jack, and told him fek off again.
Apparently its only when you call someone a cockroach that it becomes an issue in SA.

I think it ith a well known that an athol runth OpenWeb, we have theen thith again and again here on mybroadband and should not be thurprised everytime thith athol liveth up to hith name.

Well - they offered to cancel my account in the current month, and partially refund me because apparently I was bad for business with my constant posts about the ****ty product and changing shared accounts the whole time (which was flat out denied)- that was the days when they still had their fanboi's defending them like there was no other ISP.

If I were the OP - I'd give them immediate notice for non-delivery - and not pay for March, problem solved, if they come after you - keep all communication and take it to the consumer commission.
