Note: it's just hit me that 2 20" LCD's are going to be sitting on my desk from next week :eek::D

Pity about the Prophecy thing but that is gonna be a sweet system either way :)

Did you go with that mobo/cpu combo they recommended despite the fact that it seems the mobo doesn'y support the CPU?:confused:

2 x 20" on your desk is going to be sick :D

Yeah, I spoke to them and the guy said something about it either being a misprint or whatever. I did say that no kark was going to be taken and he assured me everythings cool ....... so I hope so :D

And those LCD's are gonna be sick looking aren't they :D

Have my eye on A TV tuner card + a sound card + a printer ...... or a beautiful set of speakers :o

I would vote for the screen over all of those but that's just me. Do you not have a TV where the PC is going to be? And that mobo has some onboard sound surely?

I'm torn between a PVR and a tuner card see? Just thought it might be easier to get the tuner card ..... I dunno. And being the music hound that I am (and I actually also want to start experimenting with making music to go with my lyrics) I don't think OB sound will cut it anymore. And I'm pretty desperate for a new printer :D

Hmmm, decisions decisions...

The only thing I could see speaking in favour of the monitor now is that is is quite expensive - maybe you could buy those other things one at a time bit by bit?
 
Maybe the tuner card could be stalled but this music thing has been bugging me for a while now so maybe it's best to just give in to the temptation :o Plus, regards the printer thing ..... I would hate my current piece of crud to give out in the middle of me working ..... that would just suck :D

But like you said ....... decisions decisions :D

What speakers are you looking at? R400 nowadays gets some some really nice options...
 
If only I had had a bit more work at the same time :o ....... and no debt. I could of had it all .... all I tell you *evil laugh* :D
 
If you're mainly into music, then you could also get a nice 2.1 set, like the Logitech Z-4, which will blow both of those out of the water. Or the Z-2300, which I have (got 2nd for R800) and which is absolutely sublime.

I've heard the best sound cards as the Asus Xonar ones, but they're very expensive.

Maybe get a single 22" instead of dual 20...

Indeed, I would second the single 22" idea as well.
 
Sheesh you guys are supposed to be making it easier dammit :p
