Why dont u get a mobo with a PCI-e 20x slot?

Saw they reviewed one on tomshardware the other day and it does make a difference when it comes to cards (for the future)

I don't think the moderator will look kindly on your wording. I'm not a M$ supporter but I do believe in paying for what you use (except for open-source, obviously... free!!!!)

Might be better getting it all in pieces from Prophecy, say, and at least knowing what you are getting then...

Intel Core2 Duo processor - 2GB DDR2 667 Ram (I asked for the 800) - 200GB SATA HDD - 20x DL DVDRW - ECS 945GCT-M2 mobo - 6ch audio - PCI-E x16 - 4x usb - 4x sata - 10/100 ethernet - 1x serial - 1x parallel - 300W (getting the 600W) - KB and mouse - crappy speakers.

1x extra 200gb HDD
2x 20" monitors
1x 8800gt

Prophecy-
E8400 @ R2138

Mobo that supports E8400 @ R671

250Gb SATA @R570
250Gb SATA @R570

LG Lightscribe DVD Writer @R288

8800GT @R2270

That makes around R6500...

Then add on your choice of box and PSU, keyboard and mouse and the monitors...

Yeah, I don't get why they offer that board with that chip. What I could find out seemed to say it only supports up to 1033MHZ FSB and the 8400 has 1333MHZ...:(

I have always got good service from Prophecy. Never waited more than a day for feedback. You try their forums? www.prophecy.co.za/forums/f7
