This is the One.

Why dont u get a mobo with a PCI-e 20x slot?

Saw they reviewed one on tomshardware the other day and it does make a difference when it comes to cards (for the future)

Std Gigabyte or Asus black/silver case probably. Am wanting to add some cooling though. Even just some fans ..... again, it'll be a first :o

Not for now neh ....... /me does love the pretty ones though but some of those prices !!! ....... eish, that come come later :D

Just saw that you are paying for Windows...Do you not have a copy then? And does it have to be er... cough... legal?

I don't think the moderator will look kindly on your wording. I'm not a M$ supporter but I do believe in paying for what you use (except for open-source, obviously... free!!!!)

Fair enough.

Statement retracted. :o

Might be better getting it all in pieces from Prophecy, say, and at least knowing what you are getting then...

Intel Core2 Duo processor - 2GB DDR2 667 Ram (I asked for the 800) - 200GB SATA HDD - 20x DL DVDRW - ECS 945GCT-M2 mobo - 6ch audio - PCI-E x16 - 4x usb - 4x sata - 10/100 ethernet - 1x serial - 1x parallel - 300W (getting the 600W) - KB and mouse - crappy speakers.

1x extra 200gb HDD
2x 20" monitors
1x 8800gt

Prophecy-
E8400 @ R2138

Mobo that supports E8400 @ R671

250Gb SATA @R570
250Gb SATA @R570

LG Lightscribe DVD Writer @R288

8800GT @R2270

That makes around R6500...

Then add on your choice of box and PSU, keyboard and mouse and the monitors...

So if that mobo doesn't support the chip ..... wtf are they giving it to me if it's not gonna run?

As per the prophecy thing ...... last time I asked for a quote .... I waited 3 weeks for a reply :o /me can't wait that long. Geezuz what a stuff up this is turning into man :(

Yeah, I don't get why they offer that board with that chip. What I could find out seemed to say it only supports up to 1033MHZ FSB and the 8400 has 1333MHZ...:(

I have always got good service from Prophecy. Never waited more than a day for feedback. You try their forums? www.prophecy.co.za/forums/f7
