The gfx issue - I would of just got an 8800GT but I'm worried about the next slew of games not taking kindly to 'older' cards. Geezuz, I R konfussed what to do !

I would say go with the 8800GT or 9600GT. The increase in performance from the 9800GTX cannot justify the increase in price! The 9600GT costs almost half !

Ja .... the price thing has me by the b@lls. I suppose I'll have to look at more comparison tests before i can decide fully. Man, it's the suck :(

Upgrading is never the suck - it is awesome :)

My advice, go with bigger screens and a cheaper gfx card. Cards these days are updated like after a few months - Two 22" screens are still gonna be two 22" screens years from now :)

Lol, you do make a valid point hey. :D I must say though that a few reviews on the net have the choice being the 8800GT .... price wise and performance wise.

Well the 9600GT goes for around R1800 and the 8800GT can be had for R2200, so either way you are saving a lot :)

And if I go with the 8800GT instead of the 9800GTX .... would I still need that 720W PSU? Seems excessive or no?

Does seem excessive but it is future-proof so probably worthwhile. That way, if you upgrade the gfx or want to add like 6 hdds at a later stage, you won't have to worry ;)
