This is the Telkom LIT Android media box

Bought this device on the weekend and what a disappointment. Can't do anything in 4K. :( Tested youtube and plex. Quality on twitch streams are worse than when using my PC, when it is connected to the same tv. Could have bought a GT 1030 for that money and have 4K support on my PC. :mad:
 
UHD works perfectly. In fact, the LG UHD demo clip is actually unreal

What software and hardware version did you get?

What TV and line speed? Any local UHD content?

It's on the white box inside the sleeve.

A06 = no Bluetooth and only 2.4ghz wifi
 
Getting one with the home unlimited package. Theres a shortage of stock. Any idea what the wait time will be?

Anyone able to get me a copy of the Telkom LIT box firmware? The exact firmware Telkom uses?

Unlikely as it has DRM keys embedded in it.

The reason for wanting this, is because I have an mxq 4K and the dstv app does not work on the current firmware. looking for better copy of the firmware

You can't just willy nilly flash any firmware just like that.

How do u acrtivate the Lit Video on telkom self service? I am a 50g Smartbroad wireless package and qualify for the free 50g streaming. When i go to manage subscriptions i dont see a lit option.

I have the same package and the same problem. Streaming through the box uses my normal Smartbroadband cap and not a seperate 50Gig cap as promised when I took the subscription. I have logged at least 11 different queries through the call centre and at Telkom shop directly since November but it still has not been resolved. Everytime I just get a new reference number and promises to fix it in 72 hours.

I'm getting the same package in the week and some knowledge on how to resolve this would be very useful. I work from home and would not like my data being used where I could have otherwise streamed sing the additional 50gig bundle.
 
Is anyone else have problems with the Netflix app suddenly not working? It logged me out and won't allow me to sign back in.
