Win 3.1=Great
Win 95=Unstable rubbish. Look at it, it fails, many reinstalls.
Win 98=Bit better than 95
Win NT=Stable.....
Win Vista=Skipped
Win XP=SP3=Great....Still great...You could uninstall everything in device manager without a problem
WIN 7=Great, short lived
WIN 8=Skipped
Win 10=OK, Then Unstable various pathetic updates, now OK. So far It fixed itself after bodged updates and various reboots in each case. I also found if Update hangs at a certain percentage, just diconnect router cable, wait 2 minutes reconnect and it will continue, this is how I made it through various hanging updates=It seems this problem had been fixed. It seems ok at the moment.
Don't forget there was windows 98 and 98se(more ram fix), you also forgot about windows 2000 and windows millennium, additionally windows 8.1. Windows NT actually started before windows 98 and had several versions, technically windows 2000 was based on NT, however it was far more usable then previous versions outside of the workstation environment.
Windows 2000 was the preferred OS for gaming for me, until mickeysoft stopped updating dependencies like directX and made it windows XP only. Windows 2000 by far was the most stable and awesome OS I used at the time
