TI capping - changed in Dec?

Am I the only one that gets the daily summary that says something like
Blended Usage
Uploaded - 544MB or [0.53GB]
Downloaded - 4.85GB
Combined Total - 5.38GB
Percentage used - 99.75%
Status - Not Capped

Oddly enough getting capped at 100% didnt come as a surprise.

What does surprise me is that people's "100%" seem to differ and by so much.

Hello

My friend just got capped @ 3.22Gb on his 3Gb account. He gave telkom a call and gave the customer service people a trashing and they have removed the cap restrictions from his account.

I think if u cappped under 4Gb on a 3GB account, u should give telkom a call to rectify the matter

They themselves say they have bandwith pooling after you are capped, and with me it usually ends up at a certain amount, I'm not being ungrateful, I'm just saying Telkom pulled a Ninja on me.

I think its really kark of you guys (some of you) that actually have the cheek to 'hate' Telkom for letting you go over your cap and then complain about it.

"hate" Telkom for everything else but actually be GRATEFUL that they let you go over as much as they do.

2 things:

1. I'm grateful that they let you go over your cap by however amount.
2. I'm grateful they let you have so much "local" for "free"

The rest of the stuff, service, time they take to fix things etc... yes, hate them for, but not this.

/rant over ;)

This boggles the mind...

You're paying for a specific volume of a service, and you consistently get more.. but when they don't give you the same amount of extra for free anymore you b!tch and moan?... see that is actually a problem with this world.. we don't complain about the right things, and complain about the wrong things.

+1

Even though the price of bandwidth is unreasonable, anything over what you pay for is a gift, a bonus.

I love telkom for this. Its the only reason I'm still with them and have no complaints. Everyone else gets hard capped.

Just look past what I'm saying MOAR please. Since Telkom does explain that you get some shared bandwidth after your paid for amount you get used to a certain surfing habit as to where you will use your bandwidth wisely until you get to the end of the month. Now suddenly its 1Gb less and guess what, you only realise that when you hit 4.5Gb. Now what? you're screwed.

What I'm saying is, yes, we do get Free Bandwidth wowowow its all great, but now we've all got to adjust to a different bandwidth limit now, its annoying.

The change in the 100% level is what I was referring to me. Even more surprising is that it seems that not all subscribers seem to have been affected.

However not all bad news. I have found an ISP that is selling 3GB WA international prepaid access at R99.:) Have used about 12GB so far and it seems to be a great deal. Not sure how they can do it though?

And the ISP is.................

Thanks
