To hell with their eyeballs. I get it all the time too. Just ask them if they have an issue complying with your request, or if you should have their manager do it for them.

As for drawing 20k, why do you need to draw so much, as opposed to doing an EFT?

Yeah I also can't see any possible reason to justify having 20k in cash.

Just pay it via electronic channels.

Plan B, don't think every till has even R3 000 in cash. Start at till one, and withdraw R1000 .... and move 20 tills along ! :)
 
Brights in Stikland (Cape Town) allows you to draw up to R1000 or R2000 at a till, noticed it the other day on the big board when you stand in the queue to pay.

Exactly. Think you cant blame the cashier for not having R20K in his till for your requirement.

Call the store in advance and ask to speak to a manager. Ask him/her to arrange for that sum to be available.
They might manage 10k for you, 20k is a bit steep.
 
I would be terrified to walk around with 20k in cash in my pocket! I dont even like carrying more than R500...

I would think there's a daily cash@till limit, perhaps the same one has on one's card at an ATM.

In the Micro lender boom days our 4 man team used to drive to and walk to the office with 200k cash per person... Makes life.....interesting...

Amazing that we only got robbed twice, and never during the big payload times....

Correct, 40% is for level 5.

My wife is on the flexi contract for data and airtime, and we got eBucks back on the entire spend, not just the airtime amount. Not sure if this would be different for the prepaid SIMs, but I doubt it.
 
Is it possible to use the checkers gift card @the money market counter? I am curious if i can buy a flight with a checkers voucher.
 
I want to upgrade from Gold to Platinum. How should I go about it to make sure I still receive ebucks for the month? Anyone gone through the same process?

Would only recommend doing so if you can maintain RL5 on Platinum...

Easy peasy. :3

I already did the calcs. With the added electricity benefit and the 0.5% increases on all normal purchases I'll come in at around an extra 1000 ebucks a month.

Doesn't the fees for Platinum (Cheque and Credit) add up to more than R100/month above Gold prices?
Are you upgrading just for eBucks?

No. The added fees are ~R60. I'm upgrading mostly for ebucks, but if they're going to throw in other perks as well I'm not going to complain.

How does this account perform? Have been on a 4mb MWEB account for a few years now that has been performing very well. Streaming (mainly Supersport streaming) is my main use. Don't do any torrents or other downloads really.

Had a few teething problems since the new rules kicked in, but if all goes well I should be back on RL5 this month. Was short 1000 points but just noticed my cheque account balance has not dropped below R50k for this month so should hit 18,000 points exactly. From next month the R10k investment points should kick in as well.
