Hi guys

Please help with below, my Ebucks show that this is not done but i have incontact and updated my details, i can't find the "marketing news" section. How do i get this?

"Have you registered for inContact, signed up for marketing news from FNB and updated your contact details in the last 12 months?"

Thanks

Check with your banker (if you have one) / call centre that all accounts have update contact details and are registered for incontact.

I'm new to e-bucks.

How often does your e-bucks balance update?

Also, Currently on L2, how do I get to L3?

Just use the calculator on the ebucks site to see where you didn't score points.

I'm going to hit L5 for the first time ever. Only my second month really trying to get all the points. Was L4 last month.

I recently received an email from FNB stating that I could have earned additional ebucks if I had a gold credit card linked to my gold cheque account.

What I found interesting was the following:

"Plus, once you have both the gold cheque card and the gold credit card, the linkage fee is free!"

Does that mean if I get a gold credit card I do not have to pay the R200 p/a to link it to my ebucks?

EDIT: think I found the answer on the website:

"No longer pay an annual fee of R200 to link your FNB Gold Credit Card to earn eBucks if you hold an FNB Gold Cheque Card and an FNB Gold Credit Card; your Gold Credit Card will be automatically linked to earn eBucks."

I also signed up for a Gold CC card after the 2015 rules change... I noticed that they charged me a R150 initiation fee when I signed up, which they reverse after 3 months. But check what the T&Cs are ... you might need to swipe for a certain minimum amount (which won't be too hard if you're aiming to get the points for 100% CC spend)

FNB Connect Surf customers who are DStv Premium subscribers can now catch up on all TV highlights using the online DStv on Demand and CatchUp services from Multichoice. This service gives FNB Connect Surf customers access to a wide range of shows, movies, series, sports and documentaries.

Is this a worthwhile benefit? I still have an SD PVR, and the catch up menu is limited. Are the online services more comprehensive?
How can you access this - I have a smart tv.

So someone i know, the cashier at Checkers swiped her gold cheque card to pay for a R22 item when she was drawing cash@till.

Thats 4000 points lost, right? Therefore taking her down from level five to level three.

What a stuff up of note... Makes retaining level five on Gold a bit of a gamble wouldn't you guys say?

When I want cash, and I am doing shopping, I do the cash@tills separate from my shopping.

Wonder what will happen if you dont withdraw cash in a certain month ? 4000 points or not ?

Ya, this thread has taught me a few tricks... I now hand the cashier the Credit Card, wait for them to finish, then ask "Can I also do cash withdrawal?" after I've taken back the credit card :)

I'll let you know, haven't done a cash withdrawal for Sep. On gold though.

Ok, I got some feedback from my premier banker.

"POS and Cash@Till usage more than Cash (ATM and Branch)
Card swipes and/or Cash@Till exceeds ATM and FNB branch withdrawals: 1000pts
Swipe your card and use Cash@Till only: 1500pts"

Regarding the 4000 points, I was thinking about using your CC only, and not cash@tills.

It looks like to get the cash@Till points, one need to withdraw some money, even if it is R50
