Edit: asking for costs and tariffs to compare.
Probably about 2 to 3k for the meter and installation. Other than that I'm not sure.
Which muni would that be?
Our municipality does not currently offer prepaid electricity through Online Banking. You have to buy electricity with cash from certain vendors. Does anyone have know if there is anything I can do to get them to offer it through Online Banking?
Have you checked Easypay (they support a lot) then you'll get 4% I think at RL5 (platinum).

Still trying to pluck up the courage to go to the municipal offices to find out what's involved in switching to prepaid so I can get the 15% on electricity.
So I found this at Makro: http://www.makro.co.za/baby-toys-and-entertainment/ps3-500gb-action-racing-bundle-289609EA for R5000.
Am I right in saying that if I am on level 5 for example, I can buy the Makro vouchers at 40% discount from the eBucks store, and therefore only pay R3000?
Yes that's correct.
Through I would not spend R3000 ebucks on a old console![]()
