So did Mandela Buy his degree?

And i agree with Killer. Why do should people get free houses? Never in the history of Apartheid were the white people given free everything.

If you work for it you would take care of it.

Stop dancing around like a cat on a hot roof top. That was exactly the reason I had to make sure what your question is. I said they had the oppertunity to better themselves and become educated, The Mandela's Thambo's and the likes all had great educations which was build from Bantu education.

Now for the love of all that is good, pls tell me that Black people under the appartheid regime was unable to get themselves educated and study.... pls pls pls that is all I'm asking, I have the facts here. I just need to you to make a complete tit out of yourself before I post it :D

No you cannot compare Madiba and Mbeki to the masses. Mbeki grew up with university lecturers for parents and was educated overseas. Madiba studied in jail and also came from a highly asteemed black family. "Lebogang" in Alexandra didn't have the same background.

/Sigh: Tambo, not Thabo ;) (Not sure of the Spelling for Tambo) :o

Tambo ? Was he also the son of a chief ?

I believe Jacob Zuma was in that same prison for 10 years. Makes you wonder.

I just feel you cannot say that the black masses were afforded equal opportunites that the whites were. Apartheid was an opressive system. The entire strategy of the old regime was to ensure anyone who wasn't white, was kept stupid, in the dark and under their control.

Sorry but I'm done with you. Your making a fool of yourself and draging me in with you.

Yes there are exceptions to every rule. You're trying to tell me the Jews who died in the holocaust died cause they weren't willing to wear disquises, willing to scorn their religion, willing to run thousands of kilometres like the few who did? Likewise you cannot judge a nation of millions on a few thousand who managed to make something with what they had.

difference is the jews don't use the Holocaust as an excuse... in fact they are one of the most successful nations around

Anyways i really hope Tokyo sorts out the housing problem. I think he is one of the few that can actually achieve it.

*holds thumbs*

+1 He's an educated a very good businessman. I have faith in him sorting this mess out :)

+1

I like him too. I think they are bussy promoting the new president?
It seems like he is going to give people hell.:D
In the same interview he said that a goverment should be run like a business. (Not a family)

Why? Because he managed to become a billionnaire through BEE equity deals he was included in due to being "connected"?
Puhlleeaas... don't hold your breath for much change in housing other than group 5 civils all of a sudden getting all the housing contracts

You asked if blacks had access to education, I said yes they had access to Bantu education.
You accused me of saying that whites didnt suffer under apartheid, but you cant back up that claim because I said no such thing. But you choose to ignore that.
So why exactly am I a fool again

Its strange on this forum how some people can actually defend such an idiotic post. So Blacks didnt suffer under apartheid because of its policies but rather that they were lazy. Rubbish!

Are you trying to justify your post because of the propaganda you were fed at school.
Also, how do you know that I dont understand what apartheid was about? You know nothing about me.

Please tell me were I said it was good for white people. The only thing I disputed you on was on your point that blacks had the oppotunity to educate themselves under apartheid.

You didnt answer the first part of my question, were did I say that whites had it better under apartheid?
They had an education system, it was called Bantu education.

I think these sums up your posts in order. Pls review these and highlight the question you are referring to

How can you compare bantu education to the education the whites received? And then say they were given the same chances. That is so ridiculous!

Ignoring for a moment all the stuff about whites suffering under apartheid, Pitbull asked:

pls tell me that Black people under the appartheid regime was unable to get themselves educated and study.... pls pls pls that is all I'm asking,

Your choices are:

A) They were unable to get themselves educated and study; or
B) They were able to get themselves educated and study.

There is no C) or any other letter of the alphabet, so Z) is way out.

And if Pitbull claimed that you said something, and you didn't, I'll take him to task (assuming that it'll be funny to do so).

I don't think that's the argument. The thing is that many non-whites have succeeded in spite of being lumped with a shtty bantu education system . Why are they different? Why don't they use the old apartheid crutch as an excuse for everthing ? Why don't the rest not do something about their situation?

"Do what you can, with what you have, where you are"

I never said that. I said they got educated and had massive hurdles to over come to get where they are today. But there is allot of black people who did exactly that. It had nothing to do with having being spoon fed and getting handouts. There are people who actually completed bantu education end went on to study and get degrees come on, it's not that hard to comprehend.

Ok wait, let me ask you this mr. manesan

If Aparthied was so good for the white poeple as you claim it has been. Why would they have voted to end it ? You seem like the kind of guy who would be able to answer me that little question.

In this post you say that I claimed that apartheid was good for whites, my question is where did I ever say that?

/sigh of relief

Thank you hoof. I nearly gave up.
