I want to know where my share of this gross enrichment is/was?

As for employing friends, the ANC is a damn sight better at this than any company I know.
 
All of you seem to have missed the point that there are much better white students that had already been turned down. She is clearly not the best candidate when compared to other white students.

And it would be naive to rank all Black, White, Indian Coloured students similarly. The different departments of education were only merged in 1996 and we have to bear in mind that the pupils that started school after the Apartheid style segregation officially ended in 1996 are only barely out of school. Surely you can't expect the playing field to be level after only 15 years given the fact that we had more than 100 years of unequal spending by government on a white child compared to a black child's education.

Think about it, after 94, you had a situation in the country where your financial base as well as your skill base was white and the ratio's had to be balanced. Fair enough. But what they did was put unskilled people in charge to fix the mess rather than drawing on that pool of knowledge.

Instead of just funding all these hair-brained schemes with outrageous taxes, the whites could have been put to much better use in righting the wrongs of the past through their wealth of knowledge and training.

I wager 17 years down the line there would be a hell of a lot more black professionals and entrepreneurs as a result.

You are talking about 8% of the population. The best route would have been just to build wealth creating structures and jobs. Instead you are trying to get 8% of the people to share their wealth with 92% of the population.

There is always going to be serious lack of wealth for the majority if you take this route. Even if all white ppl left the country and gave their jobs, houses, and money to the black population, most of the black population would still be in poverty.

What does 100 years have to do with it? As soon as a black child enters a model c or private school, the 100 years argument goes right out the window. Because they now benefit from the 100 years of unequal benefits.

Hindsight? Please. Every other African country that has gone the majority-led "democracy" route has turned into a basket case. Why exactly did you think things would be any different in SA? That's right, you didn't think, you hoped. And Africa is where hope comes to die.

True, but that remains an exception rather than a rule. Perhaps they should insert an exception to their admission policy which takes cognisance of each applicant's educational background rather than using race alone. I know that this can be done. When I did my BSC CS at UND they had separate extended curriculum for black students that enabled them to finish over 4 years instead of the normal 3 years. However, black students from model C schools were exempted from the extended curriculum and went straight into the normal curriculum.

How would you stop COSAS and the ANCYL from burning things in protest of this "apartheid style" education?

People, this racist policies are very very damaging to your country! People like R13 are trying to defend the impossible. Is sad to see South Africa choosing this path. What bothers me is the fact that "local" pupils are doing worse even if they go to the same school as whites do. And they are plenty by now. Clearly this points to some differences more then the skin color. In such a case, the South African government does indeed the right thing. What other choice do they have? Sad nevertheless :-(

I think you mean SASCO because COSAS and ANCYL are normally not active organisations at universities.

As I said, this has worked before in many forms such as bridging courses, why couldn't it work now?

This year the uni's has to choose from two years students. Something to do with the marks that were late from the previous year. And yes they have quotas, heaven forbid! We rather have no doctors than white doctors!!
There goes the national health scheme. See it? Ther it goes down the drain.

Rather let the people die.
