Top 10 android apps for Phones

Is there an app that can turn on the phone when the alarm is triggered - like the older Nokia's.
 
I noticed this the other day with my HTC, phone doesnt go on when an alarm is set :fail:

Been looking for a way to categorize the app draw, to bad you cant edit the category names. I also don't see a way to add multiple apps to a specific category at once.

Yeah I requested the dev to give an option to edit categories. He is in South Korea, so I hope he understood me right :)
 
Been playing around with MultiLing keyboard to try and get Afrikaans chars. Pretty impressed so far, as it even works with the hardware keyboard on my phone. The only thing that doesn't work is the symbol button.

Does anyone know of an app with a sleep type mode that will turn off your music after say 30 minutes?

Depends on how you want to do it, the suggested tasker will to an extent achieve it but its far from a useful solution, it will most likely just kill the app provided the rules are met.
Poweramp has a built in sleep time and IMO is the best music player solution for android ever developed, activate teh sleep timer and music will stop playing after say 5min or after 5 minutes once the current playing track has ended, depends on how you need it.

Personally would not recommend tasker for that, it can stop you music but it needs a more rigid rule, it wont stop say 30min after it started playing, it will stop based on a set time of the day, a location, when another profiles activated, battery level, etc

Yeah I thought it would be the worst way to do it, but gave it as a last option out hence the "?".

Does poweramp allow you to "sleep" after a set time regardless where it is in the playlist? Reason I ask is I normally just hit the shuffle all and let the music play.

You can set it from anything between 1min and 120min with the option of playing the current track to its end instead of cutting it off exactly on 30min as you need it. I use it and swear by it and oddly enough the time feature came out in the update 2 days ago.

Good timing for me then.

Just grabbed the trial and will play around with it for a while, but looks good so far.
