Top 10 android apps for Phones

That's notging more than an insult to android, you should feel ashamed for posting that link.

But is that not what Android is about, we have a choice, where the others lock you down, literally taking away your freedom to choose what you like :p

Like I said I dont like it, but I am sure some people would, esp the noobs that say Android UI is too complex

Don't mind the fandroids, just installed this on my Desire, very clever...

oh FFS they also limit the number of icons per folder to 12!!!!! Now I'm gonna have to jailbreak my Desire.... :p

EDIT: Jokes aside this is a seriously good rendition of the iPhone layout...

Would be fantastic if one could incorporate the widgets!!!

Here go have some UI you have to pay for ;)

I love that one, paid for it about 2 months ago, worth every single cent and more.
I have actually paid for a number of apps already, pretty much cause any free alternative is simply not worth it especially with all those dam adds that i have to block.

So far its:
MediaDog
TapaTalk
Better Keyboard
USSD Checker
Extended Controls
Unified Remote
Cut the Rope
Power Amp
Mobill Bill Reminder
SetCPU
Tasker
Widget Locker

No other music player free or paid comes close to power amp.

Widget Locker is a must have app. Just now solved my ICE short-cut problem. One needs the ICE info on the lockscreen for medical personnel to quickly see who you are (important info) and who to contact. Setting ICE app up as a slider (no accidental touch activation) works very well.

OOoh one nasty piece of software if you ask me...

WiFiKill:

What it does:

1) find devices using the same subnet
2) allow the user to selectively kill internet connection for any (or all) of these devices
3) PROFIT!!!

http://forum.ponury.net/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=10

If you install it, you have my full permission to target all iOS devices on your network ;)

if you're using setcpu then you must be rooted, why not get adfree?

I have adfree, all it actually blocks is the ad, the space for it is still there, anyway that's not my full list of apps, just the ones I paid for. If its a quality app I'm happy to pay for it.

Tasket is the only ap on that list with a free version and it has no ads, just limited functionality. I needed what the free one never offered and for what it does its morw than repaid the R40 it cost me.

Does anybody else find widgetlocker slightly laggy? I love the app and what a person can do with it, but its just seems a tad too slow for my liking. Irritating enough to make me not use it.

Try the theme I posted above. It's awesome.

I have really been enjoying the Huawei Ideos S7 Slim, and here is some of the apps I just cannot be without:

Ghost Commander - I urge you to try out this unique file manager, reminds one of Midnight Commander, get the SMB extension as well.
Connectbot - SSH client
Hacker's Keyboard - The best keyboard by far for larger screens (7" plus).
Virtual Recorder - Voice recorder that can record up to 10hrs in one go!
Kingsoft Office - Not too bad.
Waze - Community driven GPS software. Undecided on this, lots of red tape before you can start editing the maps
Wallpapers Ultimate - Scales the wallpaper automatically
Wattpad - eReader

The usual suspects:
Barcode Scanner
File Expert
GO SMS Pro
Rock Player Lite
XDA Android app

At Myworld...

Did you go with the MTN deal for R99?

Can you read pdf magazines on the Ideos Slim?

Hemps, give me a link to a magazine and I'll test it for you. Normal eBooks works fine.

Yes, I went for the R99-00 MTN deal.
