Top 10 android apps for Phones

Thanks, I have bought a new android phone, and i can choose my 10 apps for my phone.

Gentlemen. How daft can one be. A 2011 tablet that can't do Skype...

EDIT: If you've got a front camera, the you can do calls and video as well.

Seeing how this is also an app discussion thread, I'd like some advice with WidgetLocker please. It works so damn well but for some reason it's possible to unlock the phone by just pressing the Home button on my Galaxy S2, which to me kind off makes the whole app pointless. And I cannot seem to find an option to disable this silly glitch. Anyone know of a solution to this?

Or better yet, what's your top screen unlocker app? I'm pondering something more secure like a patern unlocker.
 
i took it off as it was glitching with cyanogen, but there are options to allow unlock by hardware button and to specify which of these buttons can unlock.

Has anyone managed to get the paid version of SD Maid? I am struggling to purchase it through the market.

Go Locker is the best in my opinion. Go Locker also had that home button glitch with the Samsung GSII, but they fixed it. So give Go Locker a try
 
Thread Title?

I almost wanted to start a new thread but this one serves a similar purpose.

But instead of the Top 10 apps, perhaps the title could be "Post your useful apps here" Or "Your must have Android apps".

Elimentals, can we perhaps have a the title changed or should I go ahead with a new one?

I don't think the info will differ from this thread. Whether it is "Top 10" or "Must have" ... its all the same to most people. I would rather a thread started for "Must have Rooted Apps" ... or similar

Hey its everybody's thread So I am not phazed, at the time of creation I just wanted a sticky where people could find Apps they might like.

So you can ask a mod to change it, I dont think I can?

ya, perhaps I should ask a mod to change it with your permission.

But I would very much like if we could have a app catalog kind of thread. Would be nice if we could have a thread similar to what Gary did with the sites for free software thread...

when this started to become more of a discussion thread.

Maybe we should start a new one with that data and ask the people to keep discussions to a minimum or move the questions to this one?

Good idea, yeah that's what I mean. I just started putting one together from scratch but I see you already did most of what I wanted to do...
