Maybe if the content owners makes their stuff available to EVERYBODY with NO DRM they'd get more money in. It annoys me when I actually want to buy music online, but my country is not supported or its got drm on (no linux support). Same with tv programs. *sigh*

Why do i never see an nzb thread or anything, nzb's are arguably bigger than torrents yet never get talked about :p

NZB's FTW

s'truth!

but there are a few things you can only find on torrents. NZB's are way faster and full speed though. Best way to use your bandwidth.

16:9 ratio is one of the big benefits of download VS Multichoice. We all have LCD's these days... why are all the channels broadcast still as 4:3???

First rule of Nzb.

Don't talk about Nzb.

Oh, psshhhhh... get lost. We talk about what we want to here. There is nothing wrong with NZB's or News Servers. Anybody want to know about News Servers... come and ask me.

Whoa, that was a joke?

Chill cowboy lol o.O

that was a joke? :erm:

no... this is a joke... http://www.whipitoutcomedy.com/2009/06/little-mermaid-gets-little-more.html

or maybe this... :D

A guy joins a monastery and takes a vow of silence: he's allowed to say two words every seven years. After the first seven years, the elders bring him in and ask for his two words. "Cold floors," he says. They nod and send him away. Seven more years pass. They bring him back in and ask for his two words. He clears his throats and says, "Bad food." They nod and send him away. Seven more years pass. They bring him in for his two words. "I quit," he says. "That's not surprising," the elders say. "You've done nothing but complain since you got here."

Its really simple. They must do away with DSTV like services and offer on demand watch what you want when you want.

Look at Hulu.com for example I see that there are a couple of whole TV series that you can watch. The same with filesharing stuff.

If I had to watch a show I have no interest in keeping a copy on my harddrive wasting space and giving it to someone else. Its just for me to watch. So streaming would be even better, no need to wait for the files to finish downloading before watching.

The TV people must listen up and get with the program (pun intended). Give people streaming content and let them watch what they want, spam it with advertising if you want so that you can still make your money and move to digital broadband.

For years I never knew about NZB's its amazing how little its mentioned in general, and I suspect the reasoning is that the more people know about it the more the quality of service ( server loads etc) declines, for this reason its rather underground.

It has become quite well known in recent times especially in SA partly thanks to this forum.

Especially the series and shows DSTV is not showing or takes forever to air like the latest Top Gear, Jay Leno, American Dad, Knight Rider (new), American Chopper (latest) etc, etc. I mean how long would it take to see these shows or would one even be able to see some of them if it was'nt for file sharing sites? Some of these shows are ruined by spoilers when one simply browses the internet or read the entertainment news. The world is connected. This SAUK model of Saffies having to wait forever to see the latest shows plays a big role in people looking for the same content online I think.

I would pay R500 for a live super sport channel, news and then I want to be able to pick any serries and download it on my tv and watch when I want and as much of the serries as I want. They can broadcast it in wide screen with the ads in the part that would be black? So like pvr with a total pick of what I want. That is pay tv and not this pay rerun tv junk!

Being a 3G/HDSPA user, I recently noticed that purchasing movie and TV series DVDs from Musica or kalahari.net costs less than getting them online. Still, For some tv series or movies for which I can't get the DVDs locally, I just close my eyes on the cash I have to spend and get them online.

Maybe I should get an ADSL connexion... Oh wait, I used to have one but can't remember for sure why I dropped it for 3G/HSDPA.

It(uTorrent) better be saved, I have watched Knight Rider seasons already...! without going DSTV route
