Hi All,

I'm planning to swtich from WA 1mb Uncapped to Mweb 1mb Uncapped starting in June. Does anyone have any experience with transfering the ADSL line from WA's control to Mweb's control? What is the least ball-aching way to go about this? Any hidden surprises that might pop up and piss me off?

Will the line go from WA -> Telkom -> Mweb? Or can WA just simply "handover" the line to Mweb? (I want to pay the ISP for line rental, not Telkom).

Thanks for any and all info!

The quickest way to do this is to move your line to Telkom and then to MWEB. If not you are going to experience endless hassles...

Hi voiDude,

I agree with what who.is.michael said above.
Once the line has been moved back to Telkom, let us know and we'll arrange for the line to be moved to MWEB. :)

Great, thanks for the info guys. MWEB Guy, I'm going to PM you a request!

Ok so I emailed Web Africa informing that I want my account canceled at the end of may and the line transferred back to Telkom - now my question is how long does this take? Will I be without internet for a few minutes? Days? Weeks?

Thanks

If it is transferred back to telkom, you shouldn't lose your connectivity at all.
Just make sure that you don't get double billed by telkom. If you cancelled your line, then you may have a problem.

telkom charged me from moving to isp to telkom(line), did not have time to argue with them etc

Just leave the line @Telkom, will experience less hassles if you wanna change ISP again, its a whole R6 more expensive than Mweb...
