Trial before purchasing data bundle

I am considering getting the R149 2gb package. I am just concerned that I won't have a strong signal (my cellphone indicates GPRS most of the time, sometimes HSDPA).

Is there any way for voda to carry out tests where I am before I make the purchase? Or maybe give me a week's trial?

Sorry I can't help with your quest, however I can warn you about the contract.R149-00 is for the first 12 months only! Thereafter is R349-00 per month! (for the months 13 to 25 - 25 because you have to give 1month notice before cancelling!) Not a cheap option if you ask me

Vodacom made a mistake on its initial advert. They have since retracted their statement. It is now only for 12 months

Correct. Thereafter usual data rates apply ! Remember this is contract you take out. Is not pay as you go ! Furthermore, if you go over the 2Gig a month, you'll pay the 'normal' data rate even if you are still within the initial/first 12months! Vodacom them self spread conflicting info regarding this very same contract. READ the small print before committing. That's all I am saying.

Going to agree with BlackBox on "READ the small print before committing'. There was just too much cnflicting statements made for me to consider this as an option and I was going to go for it.

12 months at 149.00 then you're on your own to cancel or whatever you want

12 months at 149 and 12 months at 389 - so stuck with 24 month contract?

I wish you could give them 12 months notice to cancel - that way you could fill in the form to cancel as you take out the contract...

With the New CPA , we supposed to call you 40 to 80 days before the contract term date to confirm if you want to cancel or renew.
