Hi guys, first time poster here, not sure if I posted this in the correct place.
So here is my problem between the hours of 16:00-22:30 I have over 150 ping to Joburg servers (I am based in Cape Town). This has been happening for over a month now.
Background info: I am renting a 2 meg line from Telkom (yes I know that is very slow), but my ISP is Cybersmart. I have been in contact with both Telkom and Cybersmart, and to diagnose the problem I've gotten test accounts from both.
Telkom's test account fixed the problem entirely (so I feel like this rules out the possibility of it being a hardware issue, correct me if I'm wrong).
On the other hand Cybersmart's test account has done something very weird, to most Joburg servers other than Mweb and Cell C, ping is around 30ms (this is pretty much exactly what I was getting before the problem started), but to Mweb and Cell C ping is around 130ms (These tests were not done between 16:00 and 22:30, which is when there is usually an issue, so this is even more strange). Here are the results using the Cybersmart test account, tested using speedtest.net.
