I have been running Win Xp and Ubuntu 8.10 on a PC with two hard drives until the motherboard went kaput. Got new motherboard and extra RAM etc. Had to reload Win as it went all corrupt.
Now I dont get that boot up screen where I can select Ubuntu or Win XP. Win Xp doesnt see the Ubuntu HDD but the BIOS does.
How do I now get Ubuntu to boot? Tried the BIOS, boot from Ubuntu HDD, but that doesnt work either.
I dont really want to reaload Ubuntu again with all the updated downloads that eat my data. Any Ideas, suggestions or hints?

P.S. I know squat about all that command line stuff so please take it simple.
