try the european (sorry typo) mirrors. you'll need to add them to your /etc/apt/sources.list file (and comment out the .com's - but leave them there)

I'm having a problem with apt, posted on the Vodacom section, because I thought it had something to do with my 3G connection. My trace isn't wonky like yours though, but I cant sustain download speeds with the server (or any of the update servers). My download start super quick and then it just dies after about 2-3MB into the download. It will then occasionally download about 2Kb every 5 minutes or so.

My temporary solution is just run apt-get through the console and ctrl+c everytime it dies and then just resume. This is a pain.

Anybody else having issues with apt?
