the ftp seems borked, probably overloaded. I can log in but can't get a directory listing.

also, posted in the other thread that when I do a trace on ubuntu.mirror.ac.za, it gets routed internationally and then back to SA, weird but ya

It explains why I was capped earlier today as it downloaded the full iso over my international connection.

I've been put in touch with a tenet admin who runs mirror.ac.za, and apparently they've got some mega routing issues going on.

...so a word of advice, if you're planning to download from ubuntu.mirror.ac.za on local b/w, check that it isn't going through your international connection.
