Yeah, I can't wait for the conspiracy theories to come out - I'll just laugh at them with their idiotic reasoning. Some people never seem to take things at face value.

The UK should just kick out all the Muslims who are using state funds [i.e. welfare] because I can tell you now, they're brewing nothing but trouble. It's a hardline solution but it will work.

Yes, the South African regiments did well in North Africa and Italy.

Just a small point-> : In WWii weren't civilians deliberately targeted?

and I could point to other similiar stories regarding the plots in England - the last arrest in the east end for instance.

In both cases above these were BIG stories - only after (and quietly) did it come out that actually the fbi and cia basically wrote the plots and led the "terrorists" there by their noses.

Anybody notice - in the last 24 hours - bush in now calling the extremists or terrorists - FASCISTS???!! WTF. Talk about the Weaponisation of Information (as I posted before) - READ IT. WAKE UP!

Bush family and cheney etal are laughing all the way to the bank. George - see the oil price has gone up again? Brilliant isn't it!! FFS. (Never mind the weapons industry.)

(and other similiar stories) - (think it was refineries shutting down?) - whatever - everybody (all the biggie oilco's) are riding the oil price - and all are multinationals (with their finger in many pies) - (and probably a very small ruling elite when you get right down to it) -

bush and his chums are [rumsfield] - manipulating global perspective for the domination by a few small cadre of a submissive public who have no privacy or rights.

I don't remember the detail - but (in the end) - weren't pagad armed by the cops? Ex-cop sold them the explosive?

Um excuse me: wasn't pagad setup as a "community" group, ie, Parents Against Gangsterism and Crime? Because the police weren't doing their duty - performing in any way. Then it got subverted. And as said AFAIK - police sold them the explosive in the first place. Just saying - it is very easy to apportion blame - which may, or may not be justified. It goes to "view."
 
PAGAD grew as an offshoot of the Islamic organisation Qibla. Initially the community and police were hesitant to act against PAGAD activities, recognising the need for community action against crime in the gang-ridden communities of the Cape Flats. However, PAGAD increasingly took matters into their own hands, believing the police were not taking enough action against gangs.

PAGAD's campaign came to prominence in 1996 when a local gang leader, Rashaad Staggie, was beaten and burnt to death by a mob during a march to his home. Police quickly came to regard PAGAD as part of the problem, rather than a partner in the fight against crime, and they were eventually designated a terrorist organisation by the South African government.

Cape Town Bombings
Although PAGAD's leadership denied involvement, PAGAD's G-Force, operating in small cells, was believed responsible for killing a large number of gang leaders, and also for a bout of urban terrorism -- particularly bombings -- in Cape Town. The bombings started in 1998, and included nine bombings in 2000. In addition to targeting gang leaders, bombing targets included South African authorities, moderate Muslims, synagogues, gay nightclubs, tourist attractions, and Western-associated restaurants. The most prominent attack during this time was the bombing on 25 August 1998 of the Cape Town Planet Hollywood.

In September 2000, magistrate Pieter Theron, who was presiding in a case involving PAGAD members, was murdered in a drive-by shooting.

Its a game of power, those in power dont want to relenquish their power, and those who dont have it desperately want it , and, its about control, control of the wealth, the minerals, the oil, the information and the people.
We, the average man in the street are the expendable pawns, to be sacrificed as those higher up see fit , to be controlled and manipulated , fed lies and truths until we no longer see the playing field, until we no longer question their reasoning or their control and become subservient to their will, no longer caring what freedoms or liberties we sacrifice , only that we may live our daily lives free from conflict or victimisation, not realising that we are constantly being divided in thought , in colour, in religion and in right and wrong, so that their cannot be resistance to what is being taken from us, we cannot rally en mass, the will to resist is slowly being indoctrinated out of us , the carefree and relaxed is being replaced by fear and worry, so we turn voluntarily to those in power and offer up our freedoms and liberties for a jaded , false sense of security, like lambs to the slaughter.

Good post. We are the pawns of other peoples' political agendas. Our political systems are surely a lot better than they were a century or two ago, but there is still much progress to be made.

I don't think progress can be made until we start thinking differently, and until we use our own eyes to see the world instead of seeing it through the veil of contemporary politics and religion.
