stevovo, I highly recommend you try to get yourself on the wug too :D

If you and your friend want to how about buying a Wug Kit that you put at his place. Then he connects to the wug using the wug kit and broadcasts towards you. You can then connect to him with one of those nanostations (not sure how good they are, I prefer Mikrotik, but that is just me)

Your friend can then connect to the wug using the 5.8ghz grid with the kit, and he can broadcast in your direction using the panel built into the box. The router in wug kit 1 has 2 radios, one 2.4ghz, and one dual band, so you don't need to buy another radio.

Will I then also be able to connect to the wug directly? Or will he need some sort of proxy/route thingy on his side?

Don't get me wrong, I have no problem AT ALL with the wug, it's just that I am clueless about this stuff and the two UB-NS2 devices looks like a much simpler route.
