Uncapped ADSL provider DigiChilli bites the dust

I was with them when they started.. 1 month and I cancelled. The speed was just ughh... but at least they tried.

Unfortunate for them, but they were never prepared to deliver a good service in the first place. Worst ADSL company I've ever dealt with - across the board (speeds, service, billing).

Capitalism at work; the market always sorts itself out and the fittest survive and thrive (...unless you're Telkom of course...)

Ha DigiChilli you were so rude, and couldn't take criticism, I will never forget the rude PM I got from them. Asking me to stop complaining about them on the forum.

HA DIGICHILLI I AM STILL HERE AND YOU ARE NOT!

If uncapped ADSL is ultimately unsustainable as many people seem to think, how on earth will this new 1000mbps FTTH (fibre to the home) initiative announced yesterday by i3 ever work? Will we end up with 1gbps connections with a 5GB data cap (this would take about 40secs to use at 1gbps)??

I think it is safe to say that the number of "not up to scratch" ADSL exchanges is alot higher than the number of faulty connections going the final mile to the home. Would be interesting to see how this pans out though.

My guess it will cost them more than they think to fix the problems telkom has made with lack of infrastructure and maintenance.

So does this mean DigiChilli`s Client sit on an open network, with lekke speed

Well we will just have to wait and see, but i highly doubt they would be able to compete with all the big corporations that have the financial backing.

sorry i have a question, my company is switching over from IS... to mweb please i need motivation to steer them away from shaped internet...

I was a customer for 2 months, it sucked. But they must be congratulated for their efforts! Definitely groundbreaking....

They started with a bang and then all hope was lost...
