Uncapped LTE Contract Renewal @ R599

Hi Guys

For those in Guateng that had the LTE uncapped package before it went National in December 2015, Were you guys able to extend your contract at the same price of R599.

Also did u receive a new kit again (router + antenna).

Hoping i dont have to fork more (R799) if i have to renew my contract package. No fibre in my area and ADSL only gets me 4Mbs.. LTE works out perfectly

From what I have read here you change to a month to month contract at your monthly price minus the device(router) cost

Please elaborate.

As far as I know you change to month to month but premium stays the same. No difference in price to say accommodate the device being paid.

If its still R599.. rather sign another 24 month contract get another device and antenna.. sell the old stuff for R1200 and score 2 months free subscription

On my R599 bills (I have 3 deals) R74 of the R599 is listed as the "device subsidy fee" and should fall away from month 25...
 
so did it stay at R599 ? mine's expiring in 3 months, they just called me and tried to convince me to "upgrade to the 799 as I'll be getting a lit box when upgrading to 'uncapped wireless 3' and not get a 50GB FUP", I of course laughed it off and told them no. I'm also hoping to stay on it as adsl only goes up to 10mbps in my area, and yeah, also no fibre.
 
I received an e-mail message from Telkom Mobile last week to inform me that I qualify for an upgrade in December. THis sounds a bit too earlier to me, as I only got my LTE [formerly] uncapped in April [or thereabouts] 2016.

Same here.. got call yesterday. my 24 months is up this month.. Jeez.. 2 years goes by quite quickly :)

Told them to call me another day and blocked that stupid number..

I will pay R525 from next month for my uncapped LTE

They will continue charging full amount R599. If you terminate contract before expiry date, you have to pay the remaining device subsidy fee. This is a purpose of this entry.

I was on old smartplan 100 +5gb promo contract with 8ta which ran month to month until about October this year.
When I went on month to month, the device fee fell away, the promo 5 gb data was still added, but the monthly payment was reduced to R99, ie. same price as the sim only smartplan 100.

This lte deal may be different. Will wait and see.

Sorry, in that case it can be the same on other plans as well.

With Telkom? My uncapped LTE contract expire next month.
