Uncapped mobile data - R169 per month

Surprised you haven't signed up already, I heard there's a R50 takealot voucher with the package. :p

I am not gullible. I remember about 2 years gimmick like this launched the same time Afrihost Launched their mobile offering..

It's a syndicate looking for a quick buck. Has anyone down their background check on this company . Do they have a vat number,

I agree that the site looks dodgy and unprofessional and I personally wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. However is it really necessary to mention the fact that they are Indian? There are plenty of dodgy businesses run by people of all sorts of races, and likewise plenty of very well run and reputable Indian-owned businesses out there.

Because previous endeavours which failed were Indians? And guy was not sure about their own product. With lots of "ums", "we'll get back to you" and uncertainty in his speech. Like a true shady Indian. Granted I didn't have to as there are reputable companies and people in all cultures.

I don't like people telling me that I can't look at streaming, porn or whatever else, on a service that I'm paying for. Fsck 'em...

Are you talking about Indians (as in from the country), or Indians as in the race as defined in SA?

There's also indians as in original inhabitants of what's now called the US, but doubt if they'll be in the uncapped market.

:wtf:

Anybody in Lanseria. PLEASE visit their business premises if they refuse to give you a sim card. 23 Kabeljou Avenue then it's something fishy. Tried to contact their 011 number it just rings. I am afraid if you've a problem with the product you won't receive support.

Where do they get the unlimited data, R300.00 airtime *2000 ppl = 600 000, 10 GB Wi-Fi + free R50.00 airtime every month?

I registered now and noticed their website doesn't have any ssl. Didn't put my ID number but John Doe. Postal code as John Doe. This is definitely a fly by night company..

011 rings forever. Had to call the mobile number.

I have signed up. I don't care about streaming and gaming, as long as there's no throttle. I do have Telkom coverage. It does work on LTE too. Sims are going to be delivered from 20th of May.

Email I got said from the 18th on Monday.

And when I called this morning, I was promised a tracking number this afternoon. It's now after 5, nothing.

Yeah that was my reaction too. Sad to see this sort of stereotyping .

Data Sim was preparing to launch a new “Telkom Mobile” unlimited data SIM for R169.99, but Telkom asked it to retract the service from the market

This planned service followed the company’s first unlimited data SIM, which used MTN’s network and was discontinued after MTN cut off its APN.

Obviously this datasim company has a deal where it can use its own APN. However I am sure that they way they use it goes against the TOC of the network operators. That is why both MTN and Telkom pulled out of the deal. If the website is still active and taking money it's most probably a scam

Why are we to believe this 3rd time they would be able to launch?

Do they have an official deal with Telkom this time around? If so then kudos to them. Still don't think they can make it worthwhile. Downloads will probably be disabled but for everybody that wants a blackberry like connection it will probably suffice.

I see it's R20 more expensive now. Guess Telkom couldn't give them the deal they were looking for so doubt if this will pan out correctly.
