I know. I remember when I was gonna write a test somewhere. It was maths and the test was in English. All the Afrikaans kids were freaking the hell out because they do everything in Afrikaans. Why would you as a parent subject your child to that. Sending them to an Afrikaans school in an English speaking world knowing that at some point they'll have to do everything in English.

What twaddle are you trying to peddle now? What goodwill do you speak of and hand of reconciliation?

We live in an equal and free country now. There are laws in place to try and correct the imbalances (and these are mostly failing dismally due to the government itself). What else do you think should be done. Concrete defined ideas please, not wishy washy nonsense.

This is what you don't get: you have no say in this. UP is a public university and, as such, should use an inclusive language.
You can use your language at home, but do not bring it to our public institutions. The only people who do not want to move on are people like you who want SA to be stuck in its old ways of elevating Afrikaans above other languages.

Yes you are right. And that University will bend to pressure just like the EFF is trying to do now. Again, you think you know the Afrikaans people in Pretoria... You don't.
It's not elevating anything. Did you read my post above from a FB post? If you want Pedi, go to UL. Also, there is NO NEED to remove Afrikaans. Include other languages all you want. Afrikaans will not go anywhere.
